Questo viaggio privato di un'intera giornata da Chania ti porta nel profondo del sud di Rethymno, lontano dalla folla. This private tour was absolutely perfect. We had done a giant group tour just a day earlier and it went pretty badly so it was such a nice relief to see the beauty of Crete on a relaxed and customized pace. Angie was a great guide, so personable, easy to get along with, showed us the prettiest places, and was so great with our daughter, too. The itinerary of this trip is also perfect. The gorge is stunning, the beach is so unique and beautiful, and there is a salt water pool right by the beach that my daughter really loved (and we did, too). The village of Spili was small but also pretty. Angie made the day feel relaxed, never rushed us, let us stay at the different stops without tight deadlines and even recommended a few places in Chania to visit and dine at. Highly recommend Angie and this day trip.
Absolutely incredible day with Angie. She gave us so much insight into the island of Crete and Greek culture. She made the full day for our family amazing. All of the stops were great and well planned out. I would highly recommend booking this excursion if you are in Crete…you won’t be disappointed!
Beautiful places and our tour guide experience was like visiting a great friend that knew where to take us and could speak the language.
We’ve taken a lot of tours over the years, but this one was different. Within minutes of meeting Angie, it stopped feeling like a “tour” at all — it felt like we were being shown around by a friend who just happened to know absolutely everything about Crete. She showed up with everything covered: ice-cold bottled water, beach towels, and a generous varieties of Greek and Cretan snacks, so we never had a moment to think about logistics — just enjoy the day. It was a hot one, so Angie smartly started us off at the Kourtaliotiko gorge — the water was freezing, but such a must-do, and we drank straight from the spring. From there she took us to Kalypso Beach to cool off properly, with crystal clear water that was exactly what we needed after the heat and climb front the gorge. Refreshed, we headed to a traditional Cretan restaurant for lunch, where Angie took us to a local restaurant to have gyro and other local dishes , and along the way we got to taste some incredible local olive oil and honey. What we’ll remember most, though, is Angie herself. She’s warm, funny, endlessly knowledgeable, and just easy to be around — the kind of person you feel like you’ve known for years within the first ten minutes. The whole day was full of laughing and talking, and we left already planning how we’d stay in touch. We highly highly recommend Angie!
My husband and I had an incredible private tour with Angie, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Crete! From the moment we met her, she was warm, kind, and personable. We connected right away, and it felt like we were exploring the island with a friend. She took us to the beautiful south side of Crete and showed us places we never would have found on our own. One of the biggest highlights was Kourtaliotiko Gorge, where Angie knew exactly how to avoid the crowds and get us in quickly. We practically had it all to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. We also spent time at the stunning Kalypso Beach, enjoyed a delicious local lunch, and Angie was more than happy to adjust our itinerary when we mentioned we'd love to visit a winery. That flexibility made the day feel completely personalized to us. Beyond the beautiful scenery, what made the tour so memorable was Angie herself. We had great conversations throughout the day, learned so much about Crete, and genuinely enjoyed every minute together. We can't recommend Angie enough. If you are ever in Crete you absolutely need to book this tour! Our tour guide Mat was the BEST! My kids (13 and 15) loved his stories and how much he taught them! He was an absolute joy! When getting ready to book I wasn’t sure if this would work with our cruise line time line but Angie modified the itinerary to fit our family perfectly! She was always quick to answer any emails! Wonderful private all day trip around the island hosted by Mike who was so knowledgeable and friendly! Our entire family really enjoyed the variety of activities and the chance to see and learn about the island of Crete! From an exhilarating walk thru the gorge waterfalls to viewing the Venetian fountains and dining in a small village. Taking a dip at Kalypso Beach to a factory tour of how olive oil is made paired w a tasting. And delicious treats along the way! Highly recommend this tour!
