Partendo da Braşov, il tour di mezza giornata inizia con una sosta a Râșnov per esplorare la sua imponente fortezza del XIII secolo. Il prossimo è il Castello di Bran, noto anche come "Castello di Dracula", una tenuta in cima alla collina che evoca visioni di lupi e pipistrelli ululanti che svolazzano al chiaro di luna. Esplora le stanze gotiche del castello e scopri i suoi legami con l'antieroe non morto di Bram Stoker.

Un breve tragitto in auto ti porta al Castello di Bran, soprannominato "Castello di Dracula" per i suoi legami con il racconto gotico di Bram Stoker del 1897 e il suo cattivo assetato di sangue. Le alte mura di pietra e le torrette rosse di questa cittadella in cima a una collina si vedono mentre ti avvicini al castello appartato, incastonato nello scenario drammatico dei Carpazi. Entra se hai il coraggio, dopo aver pagato la quota del sito (a proprie spese), e gironzola per le numerose stanze e camere ben conservate del castello con la tua guida. Arredi e dettagli gotici contribuiscono a creare la scena per le orribili leggende su tutto ciò che è accaduto qui, inclusa la prigionia di Vlad l'Impalatore. Questo principe del XV secolo era noto per le sue campagne sanguinarie contro gli invasori turchi e si dice che abbia ispirato il malvagio conte Dracula di Stoker.

Nella Tea House, un piccolo ristorante nel cortile del castello si può provare la torta Funeral, un porridge come dessert con noci, uvetta, rom e molto altro. In rumeno chiamato Coliva la torta funebre di solito viene servita ai funerali e alla commemorazione dei cari defunti. Si sposa bene con un buon caffè o tè. Vicino all'ingresso del castello si trova un piccolo mercato di souvenir, la nostra bancarella preferita è la vendita di maschere tradizionali e oggetti artigianali e tessuti. Chiedi alla tua Guida di segnalartelo! I nostri ospiti hanno la possibilità di decidere di avere un pasto da seduti o qualcosa di veloce in movimento. Lo stesso mercato ha bancarelle di cibo, uno dei più popolari vende hot dog rumeni (panini con salsiccia locale) e il ristorante Hanul Bran offre una vasta scelta di gustosa cucina rumena.

Tudor was extremely helpful , knowledgeable and polite . A lovely morning visiting the castle .
Our guide, Charie, was brilliant, very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Would recommend this trip, get to Bran Castle early to avoid queues and it being too busy. At Rasnov fortress we took the funicular up for amazing views. Brilliant day and only a few hours so not too long but enough to do everything at each site considering the heatwave this region is experiencing at the moment. 11/10.
