We learned so much about Guanajuato and saw the most important and historic sites, and learned a tremendous amount of history. Plus we got excellent tips for shopping, dining, museums, etc
I would strongly recommend this walking tour if it is your first time to Guanajuato.
If all my teachers had been like Mariana our tour guide, history would have been alot more entertaining!! She really brought Guanajuato's history and culture alive for all of us! Highly recommend booking a tour with her to appreciate the people, history, architecture and beauty of Guanajuato!!

Mariana’s tour was fantastico! Not only was it incredibly informative and interesting, but Mariana made it fun, funny, warm and personal. On a trip to Guanajuato with friends the 3 of us did the city walking tour with Mariana based on the advice of a friend who owns a house in town. She is the best tour guide I’ve ever had anywhere. She’s fun, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable about all of the current and ancient history of the region, mixes up the activities to keep things constantly interesting, has perfect food recommendations, and speaks great English. I would recommend hiring Mariana for a tour of Guanajuato to anyone and everyone, whether you are traveling solo, with friends or with family. A+
Guanajuato stands out for its colonial architecture, colorful streets and cultural atmosphere. The historic center has several museums, alleys and well-preserved tourist spaces. The experience was positive thanks to the peaceful atmosphere and cultural activities available to visitors.
Mariana is the best—knowledgeable, kind, funny, and a great teacher. I came away with a wonderful history lesson, an appreciation for this beautiful city, and a new friend! The city sits at 6000’ and the tour takes you up and down stairs and slopes—do not let this deter you. Mariana is very considerate and takes into account any limitations that you might have. Book this tour!
