I have taken many tours before, but this was the absolute BEST tour so far. What made it distinguishable was the tour guide, Sergi. He was knowledgeable of the culture, environment, and history of the area. His best quality was how he cared for the customers taking the tour. He insisted in safety first (reminding us of the safety belt and to keep hydrated and to make sure we were protected from the brutal sun), he counted the passengers every time we boarded the bus, he got to know our names and called us out to see how we were doing frequently. He even talked to individuals and got to know a little about each person. He made sure that everyone was engaged in his presentation by doing them interactively with us, asking us questions, making the presentation relevant to us, and even asking us for our opinion in different issues. He even presented historical information as a little 'play' with the youngest of the group! He was witty and funny and caring. This made this tour experience memorable. Sergi must consider teaching other tour guides how to present a valuable tour!
Cuenca city and the enchanted forest are worth the visit. Our guide Sergey just doesn’t know history, he knows architecture and botany as well! He is very informative and helpful.
This was a very special tour. I'm glad I waited until the last day of my trip (almost two weeks) to write this review. The tour guide, Sergi, is completely different from the others. While some tour guides can seem distant or not particularly attentive, he pays attention to every member of the group and makes everyone feel included. I was traveling with my grandmother, who is over 80 years old, and the tour was quite challenging. She was convinced she wouldn't be able to do it, but with his good humor and encouragement, he convinced her to give it a try, and she ended up loving the experience. My grandmother doesn't speak English or Spanish, yet he still managed to communicate with her and make her feel comfortable and involved throughout the tour. It was a truly unique and memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it!
This is a wonderful tour. The tour guide - Serge - was very knowledgeable and a bit of a comedian. He had a wonderful knack for getting to know each traveler on the trip and speaking individually at times. He remembered our home country and state and something about us. We had over 30 people on our tour so this was quite an achievement. The bus ride to the Cuenca and the enchanted city is a little over an hour and it seem to go by really fast. The Enchanted City was absolutely unique and amazing. We had kids and older people on our tour and both seemed to like it and the hike is mostly flat and easy. Cuenca is stunning. Lots of interest if you like history and architecture. The lunch is optional and a little pricey but you get a lot of food and drink. I am a vegetarian and the restaurant had prepared a meal for me. Just ask! Serge can make it happen. I was interested in seeing the Cuenca cathedral but we just missed the open hours. Check open hours before you go if seeing this beautiful structure is important. I highly recommend this trip for solo travelers, national park enthusiasts, history and architecture buffs. You will not be disappointed. I hope you get Serge as your guide. The only recommendation I can make - and it is minor - the pick up point in Madrid is not centrally located. I was staying in the Centro area and according to GPS, the walk would have been over an hour. Most of my other walks were 20 minutes or less. You probably will have to take an Uber to the pick up point and for your return trip after dropping off.
Well organized. Magnificent experience. The three guides were very professional. I would return with great pleasure.
Beautiful tour and Sergi is an amazing guide. We truly enjoyed the experience. It’s a perfect way to get away from the heat and see the nature
Beautiful county side and amazing wild flowers. Comfortable transportation. Good driver and great guide
Sergio was amazing. Wasn’t sure this tour was in both Spanish and English, which took a more minutes each time. But luckily for me I’m bi-lingual so I understood. Lots of walking but it is manageable with breaks and water. I’m 71 and a few extra pounds around the middle… but I made it… the experience and the photos where worth every minute. Thank you Sergio for your funny stories which made it more interesting … here is your 1000 ⭐️
We were the only English speakers among a group of nearly 20. While the guide translated all of the pertinent information to English, he spoke to all of the others continuously in Spanish. We felt like outsiders. 11 hours surrounded by constant Spanish conversations with scattered English interjections. This should not have been advertised as an English tour. Waste of mound time.
We had a very interesting time at the geological formations known as the Enchanted City and a visit to Cuenca. We shared lunch together which was fun Sergi kept us informed and explained to us what we were seeing It was a unique experience
