Nel cuore di Saigon si erge magnificamente il Teatro dell'Opera di Saigon, noto anche come Teatro Municipale. L'edificio è uno degli spettacoli più impressionanti di Saigon, sia di giorno che di notte. Il Teatro dell'Opera di Saigon fu costruito nel 1898 dall'architetto francese Eugene Ferret, seguendo lo stile “sgargiante” della Terza Repubblica francese. Doveva essere due metri più alto del manto stradale con due strati di porte, per evitare il rumore del traffico. Situato sull'asse centrale della città, collega la stazione della metropolitana e la rotatoria di fronte al mercato di Ben Thanh. Da lontano, il Teatro dell'Opera sembra una bellissima e gigantesca porta della città. L'architettura vanta ornamenti e statue scolpite nella pietra all'ingresso, lampadari di cristallo e pavimento in granito lucido nell'area della lobby, il tutto costruito con materiali importati dalla Francia. Il grazioso auditorium ovale offre 468 posti a sedere, progettati per amplificare le performance sia audio che visive, prive di eco e anche insonorizzate dal brusio esterno della città.

Wonderful full day tour of the Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta. Great value! Lucy was an excellent guide! He picked us up on time at our hotel and tailored the day to our wishes. He stopped for coffee when we asked and we learned a lot of history of Vietnam. He answered our many questions and was easy to talk to the whole day. Luc was personable and made our day memorable!
We had a great day visiting the must do Cu Chi tunnels, and Mekong Delta with Casey. Appreciated the early morning pick up so we beat the crowds. Casey was fantastic and enhancing our experience with all kinds of information and was lovely and funny to spend the day with. Car was clean and the AC worked great. It is a lot of car time but think it’s best to knock out both in one day. Being on a private tour allowed lots of engagement with Casey and flexibility to move at our own pace. The Mekong Delta portion does get a little touristy, but we learned a lot.
Wonderful day! All around great tour. Casey was a great guide, super fun and very informative. We would 100% spend the day with her again. Pickup was on time, very comfortable vehicle. Huge plus! We never had to wait at any part of the day. Multiple locations and I would highly recommend doing this tour. You will learn a lot, enjoy the day, and always be on time.

This private tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta was amazing. Our guide, Sonia, was knowledgeable and made the history of the tunnels come alive. The Mekong Delta part was beautiful, with a peaceful boat ride and visits to local villages. Highly recommended for a rich and immersive experience in Vietnam. Ps: We were offered extra time and visits to more destinations for free. For example, the tour guide drove us to a newly development part on District 2 to have a closer look of the city from across the river. He spent the free extra 30’ to explain the history of Districts 1 and 2!!
