We booked a snorkel adventure and only snorkeled for a max of 30 minutes, that is my reason for a 1 star review. There were other activities and stops but the details of the day weren’t explained well so we were not prepared. Once we were boarded onto the boat, we were served a pancake or egg breakfast and mimosas. then once we were heading to the snorkel area the tour guide said we’d be going to a waterfall that would require a hike, if we weren’t prepared to hike we could purchase an atv ride to the falls for $50 USD, we chose to purchase the ride to the waterfalls because we didn't know there was another option and we were all wearing sandals ($150 total USD). After we snorkeled. (Which was rushed and crowded and saw very little fish). At that point the tour guide explained that whoever didn’t want to go to the falls would be dropped at the beach where lunch was provided and they could buy a tour with jet skis or parasailing. He explained they would be there for at least 3 hours while we were at the falls. By the time we were dropped off to go to the Falls it was after 1 o’clock in the afternoon, thankfully I packed a few snacks and water because we were thirsty and starving. We were shuttled to the falls by atv, we saw the falls and chose not to swim so we sat and waited for those that hiked. We likely would have enjoyed a beer and chips/guac if we had known that was part of the tour. Around 3:30 we were picked up and then taken to the beach where the rest of the tour was. We were served our lunch from the all inclusive yet were required to buy our own drinks. We bought an all inclusive tour and were not expecting to need to purchase any food or drink so we had very few pesos with us. From there we all loaded up on the boat again and we believed we were heading back to the port (at this point it was about 5pm). The music was then cranked back up so loud we couldn’t have a conversation and the bar was open, the remaining 2 hours were nothing short of a booze cruise. Dancing and grinding, very sexual dancing amongst passengers that was encouraged by tour guide. We are not against a good time and this all would’ve been fine to us if we knew what we were getting into. Again, we purchased a snorkeling tour not a party tour. We felt like we got trapped on a boat for an entire day and scammed into buying more activities. Lesson learned, I will read the reviews next time and the descriptions of what the tour includes.
You have to get on a tender boat which is somewhat difficult if you have leg problems. It is a fun trip.
The destinations themselves were beautiful, and the itinerary included some genuinely lovely spots. However, the catamaran experience was far from comfortable. Despite the vessel being very large, it was packed with what felt like nearly 200 people—truly shoulder‑to‑shoulder, like sardines. If you enjoy a very lively, crowded atmosphere, this might suit you. But if you prefer a more relaxed, comfortable environment with space to move and enjoy the views, this tour is probably not the right fit. The places were nice, but the overcrowding definitely took away from the overall experience. Same thing at the Las Animas restaurant. Food and service were NOT great at all.
Worst tour and worst experience ever. I could not recommend this to anyone!! The whole thing is a joke. They ran out of snorkeling equipment and wouldn’t give me and my children anything for a snorkeling trip!!! They said “sorry sir, we ran out”. I found a couple masks and actually had to take a snorkel from an employee! What kind of a place sells a snorkeling trip and can’t even provide snorkeling gear for the people on the boat? There was over 20 people on the boat who where affected by this lack of care. The employees on the boat could care less, they said it wasn’t there fault.. That’s just the start of this nasty tour!!! You are packed like sardines in the most uncomfortable way on lawn chairs. You can’t move, you can barely breathe. I think they would put people on laps if they could get away with it! Then, they closed the bathrooms and people where urinating off the side of the boat because someone puked in the bathroom causing a problem… This boat is a joke and disgusting. We were told 40 minute of snorkeling with almost 0 fish or anything to see, only to get yelled at to come in 15 minutes later. This is without a snorkel they could not provide on a snorkeling tour!! It doesn’t get better. Then you go get to sit at a place for 4 hours. On a beach, (nice setting) with peddlers constantly asking you to buy stuff. Now you have to buy drinks and sit there for 4 hours while people that “pay” to go see the waterfall take the boat. Only 10 or so people out of 150 took that waterfall tour and made us all sit there four hours.. This is the worst experience and snorkeling tour you can do in Puerto Vallarta. I would not do this tour if it was free!! I wasted an entire day and my kids day for 15 minutes of the worst snorkeling you could ever ask for. Then I was forced to go sit at a restaurant and pay for drinks on an “all inclusive” package while people just came out and tried to sell me things for 4 hours. This company is a joke, this tour is a joke, Viator should not even have them listed. IT’S THAT BAD!!! I promise you! Do not waste your time or money! You will be disappointed.

Bring a backpack with some water bottles, there is some waiting around time, and obviously its humid, better to stay hydrated.
Very friendly staff and fun dancers on the boat open bar lunch was just ok not great. Didn't hike to the waterfall Beach was nice
It’s misleading as to the places you will visit you need to choose one or the other Animas or Quimixto . Food is served like 2 hours after being there, probably intentionally so you will consume drinks and food from their restaurant and it’s pricey. If you go to Quimixto there isn’t much to do there besides go in the waterfall. They give you the option to get a ride up to the waterfall on the atv for $40usd per person takes like 5minutes on the atv. If you walk it like 20 minutes although they tell you it takes 45minutes to encourage you to spend $$ on the atv. Guides don’t leave you alone they tell you not buy anything from anyone just from one little store/restaurant that they deal with. On top of all this it takes all day from 10amto 6pm it’s not worth it it’s a waste of time. And the way they approach you for the tip was in very bad taste. They go by each person and pretty much obligate you to tip them. Last time for us!
Be advised, you will get sea sick! And the complimentary lunch is not great so prepare yourself to eat something different or elsewhere.
Imaginary kayaks, imaginary paddle boards and hiking trails! Not a buffet breakfast, Itty bitty lunch, rude "tour" guide! People who did get to snorkle were only able to do so for 15 minutes as the boat left late, and was even later getting back (around 8pm). This was supposed to start at 9 and last 8 hours. Major tourist scam. Did 5 stars to see if I can help someone from wasting a day of vacation.
Its a great time. saw whales and stingrays. the snorkeling sucked though only there like 20 minutes, no guide, water is super murky. they said that's because of the cold water right now which is also why there is whales all over the place. the waterfall is nice, make sure you take cash for any activities. Definitely pay the 30 per person to get the at guide ride to the waterfall. horses take forever and walking would be ridiculous. at took 10 min to get up there horses maybe 25min and walking people were taking like 45 minutes and out of breath. drinks were good. food was good and pretty light. the staff is great. they struggle with undecisive tourists. and then people complain they take long for pickups but that's because other tourists stay behind
