Crociera natalizia lungo il Reno da Colonia

Descrizione
Nessun problema!

It was a sail up the river in a big boat. It was hard to work out where to catch it and we were just lucky that someone was at the booth (they were closed) that took the time to help us. . There was no commentary on what we were seeing or passing on the river. It was boring. It’s not a tour.
Basically, a party boat. No commentary, rather a DJ instead. Not enough tables for everyone to sit at.
Apart from being told the wrong gang plank from the ticket office and thus arrival 5 minutes before boat sailed, and all top deck seats being taken, we asked a lovely German couple if they wouldn't mind sharing their table for 4. They kindly agreed and we soon struck up a good conversation, thanks to their incredible English. The trip itself was very nice, smooth and plenty to see. We was at the front of the boat where it was quite chilled. We could hear the DJ from the middle of the boat which sounded great, but we was happy at the front taking in the sights and talking to our new found German friends. I recommend the sunset trip, 2 hrs.
KD overbooked the cruise which didn’t allow for enough seats for everyone and the service was awful, as it took almost an hour to get a drink. The ship had 120 seats but they sold 160 seats.
The tour itself was very good. But from the beginning when buying tickets , they were very racist to us and we complained but nothing happened. I'll never do the tour again
Turned up on time with tickets on phone, was told that there was no cruise this evening and boat was being used as lounge only. Tried to contact operator, but no response. Went to office, which despite being meeting point, was closed. Went to pier 7. Told to go back to vessel where we had been turned away. Very poor! Vessel sailed a few minutes later.
I booked a cruise, I thought for that day, and the website defaulted to a future date. Booth attendant was not helpful, neither customer service. This was not the first time. Never again.
We did this 2 hour cruise on a beautiful August evening, a good mix of young and not so young on it, and got to see the sights from the river. It's a well priced evening out, and food and drink are reasonably priced.
I was disappointed in this tour. We took it in early September and by the time the boat set sail, it was already getting dark. We made the mistake of sitting on the left side of the boat and could see nothing as that side of the river has nothing lit up. The food is mediocre at best. By the time the boat turned around, the only thing visible were the lights of the riverbank cafes and a few churches. If you are hoping to learn about Cologne, you will be disappointed as there is no greeting or info given during the cruise. This was one tour that I was hoping would end early. Don’t bother to show up early as they do not board until 15 minutes before the departure time and there is no orderly boarding practices. It was a free for all as passengers elbowed and shoved to board first, even if they had arrived well after everyone else.
Great evening cruise, definitely need to get to the boat early to get prime seating on the rooftop deck.
