Itinerario
Check-in al Reef Fleet Terminal tra le 7.15 e le 7.45. Una volta effettuato il check-in, puoi recarti alla barca, Evolution. Verrai accolto dal tuo amichevole equipaggio, che ti fornirà maschere e boccaglio, e poi goditi tè, caffè e muffin all'arrivo prima della partenza.
Evolution parte da Cairns alle 8:00 con un briefing sulla sicurezza durante il tragitto verso la prima barriera corallina. Dopo 1 ora e 30 minuti, arriverai alla prima barriera corallina. Questa sarà Saxon Reef o Norman Reef in base alle condizioni meteo e alla limpidezza dell'acqua, per garantire la migliore esperienza per tutte le attività.
Godetevi un pranzo barbecue a bordo (sono previste particolari esigenze alimentari). Il menù comprende un barbecue australiano con pesce fresco, bistecche, gamberi e una varietà di insalate e pane.
Evolution arriva alla seconda barriera corallina, Hastings Reef. Qui potrai goderti il tuo volo panoramico in elicottero di 10 minuti incluso. Meravigliati delle viste panoramiche della Grande Barriera Corallina dall'alto. Questa è un'esperienza indimenticabile. Ci sarà anche tempo per fare un po' di snorkeling. Se preferisci restare asciutto, siediti e goditi la vista sui nostri tre spazi sul ponte disponibili per il relax.
Al ritorno sulla terraferma dopo un'intera giornata in paradiso, goditi un tè pomeridiano gratuito con formaggio, biscotti e un bicchiere di vino mentre brindi a una fantastica giornata trascorsa visitando la Grande Barriera Corallina. Evolution torna a Cairns alle 16.30 circa.

Planning to visit the Great Barrier Reef? Go with Down Under Cruise and Dive. Seriously! Over the past year, I’ve visited the reef four times with four different tour operators, so I have something to compare. Out of all of them, Down Under Cruise and Dive was by far the best. From the moment we boarded, the entire team was energetic, professional, and incredibly well organised. They worked so hard to make sure every guest had a smooth, safe, and unforgettable experience. You can really tell they care about what they do. We did our very first introductory scuba dive with Phil. As complete beginners, we were quite nervous, but Phil was patient, reassuring, and explained everything so clearly. By simply following his instructions, we were able to experience the reef up close in a way we’ll never forget. It was one of the most amazing moments of our lives. At the second reef, we also took the 10 minute helicopter flight. Seeing the Great Barrier Reef from above was absolutely breathtaking. It felt surreal watching those famous turquoise reefs and coral formations with our own eyes instead of through photos. If your budget allows, I highly recommend adding the helicopter flight. It’s worth every dollar. A special shout out to Eddie. Throughout the entire day, he was everywhere, making sure guests were looked after and that every activity ran smoothly. With so many people doing different activities, I was genuinely impressed by how hard he worked and how positive he stayed all day. Thank you Eddie! Gamsahamnida! If I visit the Great Barrier Reef again, I’ll definitely choose Down Under Cruise and Dive again without hesitation. I’ll also be recommending them to all of my friends and family. If you want to experience the very best day on the Great Barrier Reef, this is the team to go with.
The highlight of our trip to Cairns! Diving in the reef was a once in a lifetime experience, then coupling it with the helicopter flight... There are no words for it. The crew were exceptional; friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this trip to any and everyone.
Perfect team, planing and experience. The food was perfect, we had snorkeling, diving and helicopter with them and all went perfect.
I was skeptical at first because I'm not a strong swimmer, but the crew were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the trip. They took us to two reef locations, and there was also an optional scenic flight available. I chose the helicopter ride back to Cairns, and it was absolutely magnificent. Boarding a helicopter from the middle of the ocean was such a unique and unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend going with Down Under Cruise and Dive.
Exciting day of adventures hosted by a wonderful crew. Unexpected amenities made the day comfortable and enjoyable. Loved the snorkeling and helicopter ride. One of our top excursions ever and well-worth the cost.
The crew were amazing and so kind assisting my 74 year old Mother to get her sea legs and get around & about. The lunch was tasty. Fantastic job, Captain Tom and Crew!

We booked this tour because it included the helicopter ride, but when we arrived to check in we were told that it had been cancelled, we were told that because the boat that was taking you there was in men
Fantastic experience, reef stops were spectacular and helicopter add on was worth it to see the reefs from above and to experience the sheer volume. The staff on board were amazing, most went above and beyond and were so welcoming and humorous. The only slight negative comment I have to make is the photographer was not very approachable or helpful, thousands of photos taken and it was a case of scrolling through and looking, when most people were wearing stinger suits and masks it was like looking for a needle in a haystack and she was not interested in helping anyone, in fact was quite unapproachable and rude. The rest of the crew more than made up for it though, so helpful and funny. The food and drink was delicious and plentiful.
Great day at the barrier reef. Great snorkelling spots with loads of coral and wildlife to see up close. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food provided for lunch.
