I recently was invited by a friend to join him for a river cruise on the Natchez . Bill, a former employee walked us down to the engine room which many people don’t take advantage of as it is on lowest deck. Y’all, it is incredible! The engine room is an absolute must-see. Watching those enormous steam pistons power the boat is fascinating and gives you a real appreciation for how these magnificent vessels once traveled the Mississippi. The food was surprisingly good—much better than I expected for a riverboat buffet—and the staff was friendly throughout the trip. Could use a better wine selection IMHO. Perhaps my favorite part was seeing New Orleans from the river. It’s easy to forget that for generations this was the first view countless immigrants, merchants, and travelers had as they arrived in the city. Looking back at the skyline from the Mississippi gives you a completely different perspective on New Orleans and its history. One tip: if you can time your cruise so you’re on deck at sunset, do it. The light over the river is spectacular, and you’ll leave with some of the most beautiful photos of your trip.
This dinner cruise is well worth the price. The food is served buffet style and you can get what you want to eat. The crawfish gumbo is delicious. The scenery from the river is amazing.

The ride along the river is very pleasant and informative but the buffet is very limited and the protein was poorly prepared.
We’re terribly sorry to hear that your meal with us didn’t meet your expectations. We want all our guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Although we post our menus so guests can review it before purchasing, we realize that sometimes we don't meet a guest's expectations.

We booked the early dinner at 6pm, that was the best time if you wanted to see the sights, the later dinner meant you were inside while the best views rolled past. There were multiple seated places outside to make the most of the trip, the service onboard was attentive and bountiful, a short commentary introduced the scenery and finished with live music so we could relax and enjoy. A delightful evening and well worth the cost.

We had an amazing time on the swamp tour in New Orleans! It was such a fun experience for the whole family and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The tour was exciting, beautiful, and our guide made it even better with great stories and knowledge about the wildlife. If you’re visiting New Orleans, this is an absolute must-do and should definitely be on your bucket list. Highly recommend it—we’ll be talking about this adventure for years to come!

Food is mediocre, service is slow takes forever to get refills, the ride was awesome and the guide was informative, crew was mostly dismissive or ignored you.

Nice information from the captain. Plenty of space. Fried chicken and bread pudding g were delicious! Everything else was okay. Band was great! We missed the sunset view bc we were eating though. Pick the first seating if possible otherwise skip the meal.

My husband loved this experience, but I was extremely seasick and couldn’t enjoy it as much as he did. I knew this was a possibility when we booked the cruise, and it was not an issue caused by the ship. The drinks were great, my only complaint is that the dinner would have been more fun had the boat been moving (although this was likely my fault for booking the earlier slot). Overall a great experience!
