Questo giardino storico è un memoriale del massacro del 1919 in cui le truppe britanniche, guidate dal generale Dyer, uccisero oltre 1.000 civili indiani disarmati. È un toccante promemoria della lotta dell’India per l’indipendenza.
Il sito più sacro del Sikhismo, il Tempio d'Oro, noto anche come Harmandir Sahib, è rinomato per la sua splendida architettura dorata e l'atmosfera serena. Fu fondato da Guru Ram Das nel 1577 e successivamente adornato d'oro dal Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Questo Gurudwara commemora la battaglia di Saragarhi, dove 21 soldati sikh dell'esercito indiano britannico combatterono coraggiosamente contro migliaia di membri delle tribù afghane nel 1897, rendendola una delle ultime resistenze più eroiche della storia.
Questo museo è dedicato al Maharaja Ranjit Singh, il fondatore dell'Impero Sikh. Ospita manufatti, dipinti e mostre che mettono in risalto la sua vita, il valore militare e l'unificazione dei fuorilegge Sikh in un potente impero.

Golden temple tour was good, guide and driver both good. Wagah Border tour was not good, guide was not able to come with me in vip section that’s what they call it but when I went to vip section they sent me all the way to top with local ppl which was very disappointing, vip was only for Indian officials n their family. I booked the tour thinking they would get tickets to sit in front but all 4 of us were in different places so no use of booking this. It’s better n cheaper to just get private taxi drive you to these places and go by yourself.

We had a morning trip in the city, the highlight being the Golden Temple. Then a break in the afternoon followed by the trip see see the Border Guards at the Pakistan border. Guide was excellent. Drivers good too.
Thousands of devotees visit this place daily. At least one lack people eat langar here without any discrimination of cast and creed. Hundreds of Kar Sevaks clean the temple floor for the comfort of visitors regularly non stop.
