The Chacchoben ruins were great to see and we had a great driver. However, the “beach club” was less than desirable. It was a small restaurant on the beach with over-priced food for tourists. There were so many tables and loungers crammed into a small space you could barely move. The “included drink” was a 4 oz Dixie cup and then overpriced drinks were offered. There were no loungers available due to so many people and we were bombarded constantly by vendors our entire time. The beach was disappointing and I swim able. Our group came across a dead bird and sticks with nails in the water that were within the roped off section of water. Not as described and would never do this again.
There was no one present to guide us. Eventually, another company took over the tour after a long time and after telephone contact between the two tour companies. We did not have a guide during the tour. After this, we were taken to the beach. We were not provided with any food or drinks there. After asking multiple times, we eventually received one drink. After the beach, we were supposed to be taken back to the pick-up point. This was not done either, and we had to pay another 30 dollars for the taxi. We absolutely did not receive what we paid for. We are not satisfied and want our money back. We also did not see any snorkeling equipment. And dind't got drinks by the day.
