Questa non è la tua tipica lezione di cucina italiana. Questa è un'opportunità per immergersi in una lezione di cucina privata con un uomo delizioso appassionato di cucina regionale italiana e condividere un pasto autentico con una coppia che è stata sposata per 30 anni e sono ancora pazzi di amore! Fabio vive su una collina in campagna circondato da ulivi. Fabio e Christiane (quando è a casa) vi danno il benvenuto nella loro casa colorata con una bevanda rinfrescante. Fabio spiegherà come raccolgono le olive e come viene prodotto l'olio d'oliva. Successivamente, unisciti a Fabio nella sua cucina per un corso di cucina pratico di 2,5 ore. Impara a fare pasta fresca, salsa, un piatto principale e un dessert. A seconda della stagione, potresti aiutare Fabio a preparare le tagliatelle con ragù o il risotto ai calamari con finocchio selvatico e scorza d'arancia, e il merluzzo con porri e cavolo viola o braciola di maiale con le mandorle. Per il dessert, godetevi il castagnaccio, la torta di farina di castagne, una delle preferite regionali o la panna cotta con coulis di fragole in estate su una tazza di caffè appena fatto.

We traveled to Florence with our close friends and booked a cooking class with Fabio and his wife, Christiane. They were immediately warm and welcoming. Learning to make a traditional Italian meal was full of fun and laughter. We truly appreciate their hospitality and would recommend their countryside class for any small group.
What an amazing experience. Set high on a hill outside Florence, Fabio’s home and kitchen look as though they were made for a movie. Picturesque house and surrounding yard and garden are the perfect setting for this experience. Fabio checked with us the week before to make sure we were learning things we wanted to and let us help set the menu. We selected lasagna with meat sauce and risotto and Fabio added his special apple cake. This class is hands on, making pasta and sauces from scratch. You can help prepare and cook as much as you want. I made the pasta for the lasagna and we made fresh vegetable stock to use in the risotto. What a learning experience. We are accomplished cooks, but still learned many new things. Fabio and his wife Cristiana are such gracious hosts. He opened excellent bottles of wine to enjoy with our dinner out under the pergola while witnessing a spectacular sunset. Food, conversation, wine were all delightful. I highly recommend this experience!
