Nel diciannovesimo secolo, la piazza dedicata a Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour non esisteva, al suo posto c'era un porto ora sepolto. Inizialmente, la piazza era caratterizzata da boutique e portici, gli edifici che possiamo vedere oggi sono stati costruiti nel corso degli anni. In pochissimo tempo, Piazza Cavour divenne un vero e proprio "salotto cittadino". Alla fine del 1800, al centro della piazza fu costruita una fontana e successivamente fu installata nel Bronx Park di New York. All'inizio del 20 ° secolo, tre aiuole (ancora presenti) furono poste ai lati della piazza. Furono costruiti binari del tram e in seguito sostituiti da una strada. Intorno agli anni '50 fu utilizzato come parcheggio. Alla fine degli anni novanta, dieci getti d'acqua installati all'interno dell'aiuola settentrionale costituirono l'ultimo contributo architettonico al luogo. La piazza rischia di allagarsi a causa della sua costruzione sul lago.
Il Teatro Sociale, teatro di Como, progettato dall'architetto Giuseppe Cusi, fu costruito nel 1811 utilizzando la struttura esistente di un antico castello (possiamo vedere le pareti originali anche oggi). Il primo spettacolo ebbe luogo nel 1813 e oggi è possibile assistere a spettacoli teatrali, ma è anche un buon posto per organizzare cerimonie, matrimoni, eventi aziendali.
La cattedrale, situata vicino al Lago di Como, è uno degli edifici più importanti della regione. È stato costruito durante diversi periodi storici e quindi possiamo trovare lo stile gotico, rinascimentale e barocco. All'interno della cattedrale, possiamo trovare il sarcofago dei Vescovi Avvocati e Bonifacio da Modena.
La Basilica di San Fedele a Como si trova nel centro della città ed è dedicata al martire di San Fidelis. Deriva da una precedente chiesa cristiana, risalente al VII secolo, dedicata ad Eufemia.
Porta Torre (conosciuta anche come Torre di Porta Vittoria è una torre fortificata principale situata nella città di Como, in Lombardia (nord Italia). È alta 40 metri ed è stata costruita nel 1192, per difendere l'ingresso principale della città.

Disgusting the tour guide operator didn’t turn up! Ruined our whole Como experience! Still waiting for a company representative to contact me! The number they provide is not in service!!!!!!
We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. However, we must clarify that our guide was at the meeting point at the scheduled time. We personally attempted to contact you several times using the phone number provided in the booking, and our guide did the same. Unfortunately, none of the calls were answered, and we never received a callback. We can provide screenshots of the outgoing calls as evidence. We always do our best to reach guests who are not present at the meeting point, and in this case multiple attempts were made to contact you without success. For this reason, we respectfully disagree with the statement that nobody showed up or tried to contact you.
This was a fun walking tour! Our guide knew so much about Como - there is so much more history here than we originally thought! Definitely worth the time and money for the tour, we learned so much and our guide had great recommendations for restaurants as well.
