I am contacting Viator, we purchased the Skip the Line, Self guided audio tour which was very expensive($172) and disappointing. We didn't know where to go and where "skip the line" was suppose to meet. a The audio did not work for one of my friends either. For the tour we purchased and received, I should have bought #3 tickets for $72.
Dear customer, First of all, we're very sorry for your bad experience, you should have read the meeting point information, which is clearly indicated on the voucher you received when booking. Our staff is present throughout the day to provide tickets and all information to customers who arrive, including how to use the audio guide. Secondly, you should have read the email we sent you the day before with the valid tickets for entry, which allowed you to enter the Colosseum directly, without going to the meeting point. The line you should skip is obviously the one to buy the ticket at the ticket office, having already paid for it and received it by email, and having the support of the staff at the meeting point. The most important thing next time is not to pay attention to the higher price, but to the information you need to read. kindest rergards
We will never buy tickets through Tripadvisor again. We purchased tickets advertised as including an audio guide and “skip-the-line” entrance to the Colosseum. Unfortunately, this was completely misleading. When we arrived, there was a very long line at the entrance. When I asked the staff about the “skip-the-line” access included with our tickets, they told us that this type of entrance does not exist at the Colosseum. We had no choice but to wait in the same line as everyone else. To make matters worse, the price we paid through Tripadvisor was approximately three times higher than the price of purchasing tickets directly at the Colosseum. I feel that the description of what was included in the ticket was misleading. If there is no actual skip-the-line entrance, it should not be advertised as such. We paid significantly more money expecting a service that was not provided. My advice: be very careful when purchasing tickets through Tripadvisor and always compare with the official ticket options before buying.
Dear customer, we're sorry you didn't have a good experience. We're also sorry you didn't notice the long line to buy tickets at the box office. It usually takes two hours to get a ticket without being able to choose your entry time. The line you're complaining about is the line at the entrance gates, due to ticket checks. Tickets must match your name, and these checks take a while for the Colosseum staff. There are also security checks. Everyone has to go through these checks! There's no way to avoid them, and that's right. Only the King of England didn't have to go through them during his recent visit to the Colosseum. I hope you enjoy your travels and don't think badly of those who work hard every day to make tourists' trips more enjoyable.
No place to pick up the tickets and they changed the time on us when we had a tight schedule. Very confusing
The visit to the Colosseum went very well; our resource person was waiting for us at the meeting point as planned, and he gave us good advice for visiting the site and on a few other points of interest.
Audio stopped working after 15 minutes (after 4 stops played) and was without audio the rest of the tour.

We understand how frustrating it is to lose your narration right at the start of your Colosseum experience. The thick stone walls of the Colosseum can sometimes cause cellular network drops, which can interrupt the digital guide stream. However, this is certainly not the experience we want for our guests.

There was a small issue at the beginning, it was impossible to find Christophe for 45 minutes. In searching, it was not his fault because they are not allowed to put up little flags or anything after having turned in every direction, finally here he is. Very friendly with good advice and little tips!! We received a message in the morning telling us to meet at a certain place, but in fact, he was at the back. Not a big deal, we saw him. Thank you for everything, I recommend it. Really, the visit to the Colosseum with the audio guide was very good, thank you, thank you.
