Sameer’s service was outstanding from start to finish. He was punctual, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable about Colombo. I was wondering to visit real Colombo by tuk tuk and one of my friend was recommended sameer he is an absolute genius speaking good English he knows well knowledge of city I am highly recommending this tour
Sameer was an excellent guide, he was friendly and knowledgeable and I felt safe with him. He is truly passionate about his country and I enjoyed meeting his friends around the city and hearing stories about local lives, his childhood and life experiences and his hope for the country. Sameer is very very knowledgeable about all the religions in Sri Lanka and he speaks great English, so I learnt a lot. He even shared his wife’s homecooked meal with me. If you don’t want to just check off the touristic stuff and get pressured to buy things just so your guide gets commission, but truly want to learn more about Sri Lanka and Colombo and fall deeper in love with the people and culture, I highly recommend booking his tour.
Amazing experience with SAMEER our driver/guide. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Saw places we could never have experienced by ourselves or in a car. Communicated with us the whole time and felt very safe. Highly recommend this tour.
We had a fantastic afternoon with Sameer. He showed us various great spots in Colombo. When we asked to stop by a jewelry store. The owner of that store was super friendly. He took us to the kindest and most interesting people and places in Colombo. The tour is perfect for both backpackers and those who want to see how life in Colombo works. Sameer helped us tremendously throughout our entire trip in Sri Lanka. He was always available and reachable immediately. It was the best tour I have ever done. And we made a new friend 😁
It was supposed to be a 180LKR Uber ride from Colombo Fort station to the hotel, but when I asked Tukudra, who was stationed in front of the station, he said 1000 or something and said no. 500 is fine ... whatever. He grabbed my backpack, so I shook him off and called Uber. I was tired. Plus you're a tukdra because you were insistent near the long-distance bus stand, right? I was so angry that I asked him and he left. There's no business future like this when there's an Uber with Akio Accounting.
Sameer is a youthful and optimistic guide offering a wonderful perspective on life in Colombo. He navigates you through Pettah to give a sense of the coffee, tea, spices, rice, fruits and vegetables offered. His knowledge of the religions too and his tour of the temples is very welcome! Be sure to confirm your times with him, he is a busy guide and very popular.

Enjoyed a fascinating early evening tour of the Pettah district in old Colombo. Sameer is the ideal guide, with in-depth knowledge of the cultural and spiritual influences on the neighbourhood, not to mention a first class command of English. Great experience! We discovered different parts of Colombo through Sameer’s eyes as soon as we arrived in Sri Lanka. It is a real sharing and a living experience around Sri Lankan history and culture. Visual, cultural and taste discoveries guaranteed! Sameer is a *fantastic* and passionate guide to the streets and alleys of Pettah, Colombo's old market area. He is authentic and enjoys sharing his own neighborhood with the world. I've been out with him and sent a half dozen other people with him. Everyone comes back seeing new things, and with a great appreciation for the history of Colombo and its people.
