Le guide di Zara Tours percorrono la Marangu Route, che è la via più semplice e breve per raggiungere la vetta del Kilimanjaro ed è conosciuta come la "Coca Cola" o rotta "turistica". Questa è l'unica via sul Kilimangiaro con i comfort di capanne a energia solare e letti confortevoli in ogni campo. Le capanne sono in comune e ogni cuccetta ha un materasso e un cuscino di spugna. I bagni e l'acqua corrente sono disponibili nelle due capanne inferiori. Latrine di base per uomini e donne sono disponibili nell'ultimo campo. Tutti i gruppi di arrampicata, spesso provenienti da diversi paesi del mondo, condividono i pasti in capanne che offrono un'atmosfera gioviale ed energica. Bevande analcoliche, acqua in bottiglia e birra possono essere in vendita presso le capanne. Porta con te piccole banconote della Tanzania per acquistare questi oggetti (i prezzi aumentano con l'elevazione). Questo percorso viene in genere eseguito in 5 giorni, ma è possibile farlo in 6 giorni per una migliore acclimatazione. Puoi trascorrere la giornata in più riposando a Horombo o arrampicandoti su un campo base sotto il sottomarino Mawenzi di Kibo.

Fantastikisl experience. The climb was tougher than expected but still fully feasible. The Zara Tours team was exceptional and absolutely crucial for us to reach the top.

My dad and I had an unforgettable time climbing the Marangu Route with Yohana and his team! The Marangu is a tough climb, but they provided relentless support and took excellent care of us. Even when the altitude got the better of us and we had to turn back for health reasons, Yohana ensured our descent was safe, steady, and comfortable. My experience with Zara Tours is beyond words. In 1999, a medical mistake led to the amputation of my leg and severe nerve damage. After 17 years in a wheelchair, I finally received a prosthetic in 2016. Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and in 2018, I was finally strong enough to try. Finding the right organization felt impossible, until I met Mama Zara (Zainab Ansell). She didn’t see “disability”, she saw strength. She believes disability is not inability, according to her we are not handicapped but handi”capables” and because of her, I found my confidence, my purpose, and my dignity again. She changed my life, and the lives of so many others. Since then, I’ve climbed Kilimanjaro six times with Zara, with incredible people facing their own challenges, amputees, blind individuals, people with MS, deaf, people with brain injuries, cancer survivors, and more.. It was a great adventure with a very cool team. All was perfect regarding food, luggage and the time up there. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and am really looking forward to come back another time.
