La storia di Zagabria inizia con la storia della Cattedrale nel 1093, quando il re ungherese Ladislav fondò la diocesi di Zagabria nell'area dell'attuale Kaptol e in quel momento elevò la chiesa al livello della cattedrale.
Il "ventre della città" di Zagabria, il più grande mercato degli agricoltori della città.
Dalla fine del XIX secolo agli anni '30 del XX secolo, Tkalča era l'equivalente di Zagabria del "quartiere a luci rosse" di Amsterdam. Oggi è la principale strada turistica e notturna del centro.

Il primo re croato 925-928, ma prima governò il principato della Croazia.
Nel 1876 fu adottato un piano urbano per progettare la città bassa. L'idea era di unire tutte le piazze della città bassa in un unico quadro.

Valentina did an excellent job with the tour and all the information and fun trivia about Zagreb and the history ! Fun to be on bicycles !
Not a bad tour but could have been more cycling as lots of stopping and walking with bikes up hills
Our guide was Valintina, who is great. Very knowledgeable and relaxed at the same time. We thought we had ‘seen’ Zagreb, however the tour showed us we really hadn’t and has made the rest of our holiday more enjoyable. The cycling is relaxed, while being able to get around the most interesting parts of the city. Highly recommend.

We met up with our guide Peter at the store and found it was just the two of us and him for a Thursday early afternoon tour of the city. The joy of being on a bike is you can get about quicker and therefore see a lot more. We had plenty of stops throughout the city with Peter giving us the history of the area and the buildings we were seeing. A brief stop off for a drink and after 2 ½hours we were done. The cost was £37 per person, dont be put off by the bikes its at a leisurely pace and the only steep climb was way too steep so the three of us got off and pushed. A lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon.
Iva provided us with an outstanding tour of Zagreb's downtown area. Her overview of history and culture gave us wonderful insight on life in the city. She's an intelligent, funny, and enthusiastic guide. Recommend!
Our tall blond incredibly friendly tour guide knew a lot of about the history of Zagreb, offered great suggestions for places to visit in Zagreb, restaurants to try and a lot of information about the importance of sports in Croatia. Great time!
