Anni fa, al tempo dei re ruandesi, un tempo c'era un principe che decise di decorare la sua casa modellando forme geometriche sulla parete della sua capanna usando sterco di vacca. Col tempo, questa tecnica è stata sviluppata in una forma popolare di arte ruandese tradizionale chiamata "Imigongo". Durante il tuo laboratorio, imparerai la storia dell'arte Imigongo in Ruanda. Dipingerai quindi il tuo Imigongo (arte dello sterco di vacca) che hai scelto per portarti via con te.

My husband, my friend, and I recently visited Azizi to paint Imigongo with Theoneste. Theoneste was a fantastic host, sharing the history of Imigongo in a fun, engaging way, telling stories, joking, and laughing with us. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kigali!

This was an enjoyable date night with my husband. Before we started painting the instructor gave us a brief history lesson on how they started using cow dung. She was the perfect host. We were allowed to bring our own wine and played music 🎶. I definitely recommend if your in Kigali.
