Cammineremo su Lions Head, l'escursione più istruttiva di Cape Town. Abbiamo in programma di prendere il tramonto sull'Oceano Atlantico o l'alba dalle montagne Hottentots Holland. Ci godiamo alcune incredibili opportunità fotografiche prima della nostra discesa. Durante un'escursione al tramonto, scendiamo al buio usando le nostre torce (fornite). Durante un'escursione all'alba, possiamo fare un'escursione nella prima parte al buio usando le nostre torce (fornite). Mentre l'escursione è considerata più facile di Table Mountain, comporta comunque ripidi pendii rocciosi e stretti in determinati punti da circa metà strada e una sezione in cui è necessario utilizzare le maniglie e le catene in acciaio per salire 2 tiri di circa 3 metri ciascuno (solo su e non giù). Davvero avventuroso. Questa escursione è stata un'antica tradizione per i locali, specialmente durante la luna piena e nelle notti / mattine limpide / senza vento, dove le luci della città sottostante abbagliano e la luna e le stelle mostrano la sua bellezza nel cielo notturno.

We had an amazing time hiking Lion's Head at sunrise! Carmen provided insightful background on Cape Town and the local fauna during the hike, and also took great pictures/videos of us throughout. She also tailored the hike to our level of expertise so that each member of our group felt comfortable and safe. I would recommend this to anybody who enjoys hiking with some minor challenge, as some light scrambling is required near the top, which we found to be particularly enjoyable. While we did not get to see a sunrise due to weather, rest assure that the low cloud cover is equally breathtaking to see.
Amazing hike with incredible views and some nice climbing on the way. Codi was a super friendly and chill guide, with lots of interesting facts to share about the city!
Our guide Idrees allowed us to climb Lions Head safely. Thanks to him, we had a great time. Very nice and kind, he guided us to the right path.

The sunrise hike with Codi was amazing! The hike itself was short and sweet. It does get hard towards the top with steep elevation and narrow walking areas, but it’s 100% worth it. The views and time at the top is so rewarding. Codi, as a Cape Town local, was extremely knowledgeable and real about his Cape Town history. Loved getting a Capetonian perspective and he was so kind as well!
We had an amazing sunset hike up Lion’s Head with Codi as our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. He kept a comfortable pace, shared interesting information about Cape Town and the surrounding area, and made sure everyone felt safe throughout the hike. The views at sunset were absolutely incredible, and Codi helped make the experience memorable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to hike Lion’s Head. Really enjoyed the sunset hike with Codi! It’s not too easy but also not too tough. Codi made sure to stop for hydration and photo breaks, and he was great company for someone travelling solo.
What to know: 1) it is doable going at your own pace. Just know that it is all uphill for 40-60 minutes. 2) starting before sunrise gives you amazing views of the city lit up in the darkness. 3) a guide isn’t essential, BUT going with a guide was MUCH appreciated. Idrees had information he shared about the culture, history, fauna, and flora as well as knowing great places for photos. 4) we loved the hike!!! 5) highly recommended!
Easy booking, great preparation and just a ton of fun. Carmen was an incredible guide for the hike. Her knowledge top, her vibe unbeatable. Felt as safe as one could be, can only recommend, you will regret not going on the Lion’s Head hike with her. She also waited for everyone to get home safely! Oh and great fotos and videos she took too.
