Steenberg, conosciuta come Swaaneweide nel 1682, è quasi certamente la fattoria più antica della valle di Constantia, anche più antica di Groot Constantia. All'inizio l'uva da tavola era la sua principale esportazione. La storia di questa fattoria è praticamente inseparabile da quella di una formidabile donna, Trijin Ras. La fattoria che vediamo oggi è stata costruita nel 1740. Dal 1988 Steenberg è nota per la sua esclusiva tenuta di golf, ristoranti e vini.
