Circuito di Machu Picchu 2 : Classic Route Guided Experience

My guide was Manuel. He was very kind, cool, and above all very patient throughout the tour. He explained the history of Machu Picchu and had a great sense of humor, he took some super beautiful photos, better than I expected. They asked me every little while if everything was okay with the altitude and made me feel very safe and comfortable. I recommend it 100%.

Don't book anything with this company! We booked a guided tour for Machu Picchu Circuit 2 more than a month in advance. We paid ten times the price of the tickets. When the booking was confirmed, we provided all of our personal information, and the company assured us that everything was set for our guided tour. A few days before the scheduled tour, I texted the company to say that we would arrive in Aguas Calientes the day before and wanted to buy another circuit, asking what they would recommend. On the day of our guided tour, just two hours before the scheduled meet-up with the guide, we received a message saying we couldn't do the tour because they hadn't been able to book Circuit 2 due to a "recent change in the system made by government order." They offered either a refund or Circuit 1, which is the worst circuit. We questioned them about the short notice, since we had booked the tour more than a month earlier and had also told them we would arrive the day before in Aguas Calientes — when we could have bought Circuit 2 ourselves if they had let us know beforehand. When we arrived in town, there were still Circuit 2 tickets available. They said our request had been made too late and that this was why they couldn't book the circuit we wanted. They had a whole month to tell us, so we could have arranged tickets another way, but instead they chose to message us just two hours before the tour. The company was extremely irresponsible and wouldn't even offer any compensation for the trouble they caused — we had to rearrange our entire trip and spend more money just to see Machu Picchu, which was the whole reason for our trip. Completely disappointed, and I don't recommend booking with them.

During our visit to Machu Picchu, we had Nilton Farfán as our guide, who throughout the tour demonstrated professionalism in the explanations he provided, in addition to being an excellent photographer.

William came and got us from our hotel and made it super easy to navigate to the bus. Throughout the tour, he checked in with us frequently to make sure we were doing okay and allowed us to move at our own pace and take photos.

Everything was arranged smoothly. We couldn't find any available Machu Picchu circuit 2 ticket when trying to book through official site 4 months ago. I'm glad to find this tour which include Machu ticket, train ticket and Sacred Valley tour with staying overnight in Aquas Caliantes. The company kept me secured whenever I have any questions. Great communication. The tour guides are all friendly and provided great customer service. If you don't want the hassle of figuring out how to transfer from Cusco to Machu and wait in line for bus, just book this tour and they will take care for you. Price is reasonable which include Machu Picchu circuit 2 ticket including tour guide, round trip train tickets, bus to Machu up and down, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, 1 lunch buffet and 1 night stay in Aquas Caliantes.

Thanks for a fun day at Machu Picchu! We learned a lot. Could not have asked for a better day. Glad circuit 2 worked out! William our guide kept us moving at the perfect speed, not too fast or slow and was helpful. It was a memorable experience.

William was a knowledgeable, funny, charismatic and easy going guide. His positive attitude was infectious. We appreciated his deep knowledge of the local vegetation, history, and culture. We felt like we learned so much more than we would have going without a guide. The transitions were flawless as well. We would highly recommend using Get Your Guide as it was great for us. William specifically was a Five Star Guide. We loved his sense of humor and his positive nature.

Will is a knowledgeable guide in many areas: history, botany, culture, geography and geology. It conveys the information very clearly, accurately and gracefully, even for our girls, well he would say it himself: with elegance!! It was a pleasure for us to have been guided by him.

Had an amazing tour today guided by Edwin Monzon Monzon, Edwin is very knowledgeable and fun. He may be the best guide we have ever had!
