Awesome. Andy was full of knowledge, and kept me interested, which is a challenge for most. Perfect weather didn't hurt.
Fantastic way to see the coast line of the city and cruise right by the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We loved it! Only took an hour which was great and didn't cut into much of our time for sightseeing that day. Our guide was Alexis and she was fantastic!
The cruise was overall very very informative, we have learnt a lot about the history of the river, of the significant buildings, however the description sounded more promising. We ended up seeing only a few significant sights of Hudson Yards and Manhattan. The crew was very helpful and kind. Finally, the close look at Lady Liberty was worth it all!
Aware I purchased standard tickets. Was directed to go to the stairs to the left, go through to the outside and go up stairs again. At stairs a worker stopped and asked if i had a premium tocket. I said no. My sister had one (blue bracelet). He said ok just all of you together go up. Then ten minutes into the ride, comes over and checks tickets, saying its his fault, but we have to move below deck. I had NO problem sitting where i purchased tickets, upper deck was nothing special to us, just went where we were directed. My special needs son was actually sitting nicely on my husbands lap and behaving. I asked are there seats below, as we had to now look after a full ship in motion, also with a baby/stroller. The captain came out. Said you have to leave here. I started to explain about seating for my special needs son, he said i didn’t ask, you need to leave here now. The extremely sympathetic and nice woman behind the bar, said i’m so sorry, i heard them direct you all here, its not your fault. Also we’re feeling a little embarrassed as other are looking at us as if we tried to get one over and get on top deck. Other than that the boat ride itself did what we paid for and we saw what my son was excited to see, the Statue of Liberty. To add, the boat tour guide was very nice to my son when it was time to dock and get off.
My experience with the NY Circle Line sight-seeing Tours was very informative and relaxing. I truly enjoyed the tour guide's (Alexis) knowledge and humor on the trip. It was quite entertaining and memorable not just to see the sights and water but to feel comfortable listen to the historic aspects of the cruise. I am a retired worker from the Disney and Miss Alexis is a crowd pleaser and know the values of hospitality for the guests and visitors. I hope the management can send her kudos for a job well done each day or an employee of the month award. I would like to say thank you for making my trip memorable and to see how much your staff care about people and not just a business. I would suggest that the company give out each guest or visitor a coin (maybe plastic or metal with NY insignia) that the company can say thank you for choosing and to remember that they did the trip on the Hudson River. Or maybe ask if someone is just married, celebrating a birthday or anniversary and give the coin. It would be special. "just a thought" :) My stay was only one day in the city it was marvelous. An idea on the price is to give the senior citizens regardless of country (Not just New Yorkers) to get a discount. This may encourage more customers and visitors. well, if this is all about money you can disregard. New Jersey's history is part of the tour so they should get a discount too on Tuesdays if possible. One more tip, your safety practices are excellent and maybe use a yellow rope to seal off the stairs instead of white, it is more visible to the eye and a caution color. ken
Everything was amazing! Thank you for the host of the ferry for great animation and experience! :-)!
The Statue of Liberty cruise was fantastic. Perfect length of time, tour guide provided great history about the area - great intro to NYC. Debbie was our tour guide and was excellent!
This tour was so much fun. It was cold and snowing which is the complete NYC experience. The tour guides provided a safe and informative experience to Lady Liberty.
We arrived in plenty of time,.boarding was very easy and simple. The guide was very knowledgeable. Yes we did have to que for our hot drinks, but it was December and cold so probably more people trying to warm up. Inside the boat we could take our coats off, outside you wrapped up. We would recommend this trip.
A nice quick way to see the city and the Statue of Liberty. Boat is nice with plenty of seats inside and out. Bundle up in the winter because top deck is windy and cold! But worth it! Andy, the tour guide, was informative and funny.
