Chocolate Tour Standard #2 : Pranzo incluso senza trasporto

Descrizione

Great tour to learn more about chocolate and coffee production in Costa Rica! It was neat to see all of the steps of how chocolate is grown & produced and then try it. The lunch was also great! If you drive yourself, the road into the farm is a little rough (gravel) but otherwise pretty easy to find. Highly recommend this tour!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the chocolate and coffee tour and had a great experience with our team. It means a lot to us that you found the tour both fun and informative. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon. Pura Vida!
A wonderful experience to learn a little about cocoa and coffee farming and traditional techniques. Juan was a superb guide - not only a knowledgeable instructor but he has one ear constantly in tune with the surrounding symphony of life and points out birds, snakes, lizards and more. He even got me to hate mosquitoes a little less! They too are pollinators! We made a chocolate “sundae”, dipped delicious Arabica coffee, and finished the instructional tour with a sugar cane cocktail shot. We finished with a lunch in the quaint town of Quepos at Bonding restaurant with a traditional Casado. A perfect morning with Juan and team!
What a fantastic description of your morning! We’re so glad Juan could share his knowledge of both farming and the surrounding wildlife with you. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the hands-on chocolate making and the traditional lunch in Quepos. Thank you for the 'superb' recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back again!
The tour is great experience - Huan is very knowledgeable and easy going guy. You will learn about how chocolate is grown and made and taste chocolate and coffee.

One of the best experiences during a family vacation in Dominical, Whether you viist solo, as a couple, with family, or with kids, this is something that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. The guide, I believe his name is Juan, is so knowledgeable about not only coffee and cocoa, but the various herbs that grow on the grounds (which is modelled after a natural garden, not a traditional farm). He's very down to earth and one of the most enjoyable parts of the tour was seeing him prepare hot chocolate in the same way as it would have been prepared in the ancient Aztec and Mayan empires. And yes, as a guest, you can help yourself to seconds. Ditto with the coffee itself and the various roasts. One particularly cool part of the trip was getting to sample cacique (Costa Rica's national spirit; clear and strong, a bit like cachaça or rum) in a traditional cocktail that was popular amongst farmhands. The wild thing is.... there is truly no alcoholic aftertaste, at all. It was part of the lore and it is still true to this day. Delicious but dangerous. Lunch was included in the tour and the restaurant in town was very accommodating for people with dietary restrictions and/or food allergies. It was near a small hotel as well with a nice gift shop. Lots of coffee and chocolate items, along with some beautiful local pottery, one can bring back as a souvenir or gift.
Thank you for being part of our Chocolate Tour! We’re glad you enjoyed this sweet experience and truly appreciate your feedback. We hope to see you again very soon.
