Questa escursione è un must per dare uno sguardo più da vicino ai segreti del tradizionale stile di vita cretese, dove esplorerai i sapori tradizionali della nutrizione cretese. Visita ad una panetteria locale dove avremo la possibilità di dare un'occhiata più da vicino a come vengono preparati i tradizionali prodotti salati cretesi (fette biscottate, pane, ecc.). Visita un uliveto dove esamineremo gli ulivi e impareremo come viene prodotto il miele cretese. Visita un tradizionale caseificio pluripremiato. Se non è il periodo della produzione del formaggio, potremo entrare, altrimenti la nostra guida ti dirà tutto sulla procedura di produzione del formaggio prima della nostra esperienza di degustazione superiore. Preparati per una superba esperienza gastronomica poiché avrai la possibilità di assaggiare un piatto tradizionale con olio d'oliva, pomodori, olive, formaggio, miele e altro ancora che ti offrirà un'esperienza di prima classe della natura cretese.

Nel villaggio di Ano Vouves si può ammirare l'olivo più antico del mondo, proclamato monumento naturale. Anche se gli scienziati non possono esserne assolutamente sicuri, la sua età è stimata tra i 3000 e i 5000 anni e rimane ancora vivo, fruttificando fino ai giorni nostri. Aveva come base un olivo selvatico, per poi essere addomesticato dall'uomo attraverso la varietà Tsounati. Il suo tronco, cesellato dal tempo come una scultura, ha una circonferenza di 12,5 metri e un diametro di 4,6 metri.

It is a must do tour to learn of the agricultural and culture of wine making from generational families.
Perfect day if you want to experience a little bit of everything! Beautiful views, a good guide and always something good to taste at every stop😊
Great food and wine. The tour guide was really nice and funny. The pickup can feel long (particularly bc some of the attendees are not ready on time) and some parts of the tour can feel a bit rushed, but it was a great experience overall.
Well worth it. Most enjoyable and informative. Our guide, Linda, was excellent and most knowledgeable. Highly recommend it. Scenic views fabulous
We very much enjoyed our tour. Our guide,Sonya, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the stops. We had plenty of time at each place to explore and enjoy some wonderful bread, cheese, olive oil and honey. We also got to taste wine from a local winery. The bus we took was too small and it felt very overcrowded and stuffy. That was the negative of the day. I would recommend this trip
The tour was great and our tour guide was very informative and shared many details about this beautiful island. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my pick up time wasn't communicated to me just the overall start time and since I was one of the last stops, I had to sit and wait for an hour to be picked up.
This was a fun and inexpensive way to see some of the Crete countryside and taste a lot of honey, cheese, and wine! It went to family owned, small producers in picturesque villages in the hills. The only downside is that it is a full, big (comfortable) bus and makes about an hour of pick up stops at the hotels outside Chania, though they are all on the way to the villages. So there are about 40-50 people with you. But the guides handle it well and it all feels personal and warm and local. Especially appreciated the chance to try so many varieties of local Cretan wine, some of which is unique to the Chania area.
A really pleasant and informative day about the island, its food, its history, its olive trees and bees. We learned so much! Our guide was dynamic and super friendly. It felt like we did loads in a few hours: visit the world’s oldest olive trees, the bakery, the cheese factory, the bee keeping place, the olive oil factory, the tasting, and the winery and wine tasting! So much was packed in one day. Great value for money. You’ll need cash for the bakery but everywhere else accepts cards. Super super day!

Very interesting facts, cheese, honey and bakery very nice. Best bit was wine tasting, was really delicious especially the rose wine! Would recommend!
