Il Tempio Buddista Jogyesa è uno dei monumenti più importanti del Buddhismo coreano, fondato per la prima volta nel 1935. Il tempio si trova nel centro di Seoul ed è abbellito da un antico pino bianco. Ci sono alcuni passi importanti per entrare nel tempio. Innanzitutto, si deve passare attraverso “Iljum”, che è il cancello a un pilastro. L’“Iljumun” simboleggia la divisione tra il mondo dei vivi e quello del santo mondo di Buddha. Vivrai una bellissima esperienza spirituale e potrai ammirare le splendide statue dorate.
Cerimonia del cambio della guardia – testimone di una spettacolare tradizione coreana Vedrai la cerimonia meticolosamente coreografata che si svolge davanti alla Porta di Gwanghwamun. Questa tradizione ha avuto origine durante la dinastia Joseon e la città ha deciso di riportarla per la rievocazione nel 1996. I soldati indossano divise colorate blu e rosse e pattugliano con grazia i cancelli del palazzo a protezione del re. La tradizione è molto elegante e semplicemente bella da guardare! Questa era la casa principale della dinastia Joseon costruita nel 1395. Si tratta di un edificio mozzafiato con 7.700 camere! Il palazzo ha subito alcuni colpi nel corso degli anni, il che lo rende ancora più interessante da vedere oggi! Alcuni dei punti salienti qui sono Gangnyeongjeon, il quartiere principale del re, Geunjeongjeon dove il re accettava visite formali, Gyeonghoeru – la sala speciale per banchetti, e altro ancora!
Il Museo del Palazzo Nazionale della Corea è stato inizialmente istituito come “Museo Imperiale Coreano” nel 1908; tuttavia, è stato rinominato e trasferito molte volte nel corso della sua storia. Oggi il museo conserva circa 45.000 manufatti e tesori reali provenienti dai palazzi della dinastia Joseon e dall'Impero coreano. Inoltre, puoi trovare 14 dei tesori nazionali della Corea del Sud situati qui. Our guide (Alice) was amazing, and she showed us some interesting sites. I really loved the changing of the guard ceremony, the palace grounds, and the ginseng museum (bring your wallet if you want to buy premium quality ginseng products). The driver was also great, because he had to deal with crazy traffic and street closures due to a protest going on that day. We did the half day tour, but there were others who did the full day tour, so we did not return to our meeting point.

Great half-day tour covering some of Seoul’s most important landmarks, including Jogyesa Temple, Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum and the Changing of the Guard Ceremony.
