I had a fabulous time on the Silverline Dinner Cruise! The food was enjoyable, the cruise along the Danube was absolutely spectacular, and the entertainment was wonderful—but the staff truly made the experience. My waitress, Cintia, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, efficient, and genuinely pleasant. She made sure I was taken care of all evening and truly made my night. The manager “Sultan” was so cheerful and welcoming. I absolutely loved this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat. If you’re visiting Budapest, this cruise is a must!!!
There is no need to upgrade for the window view. You can see well no matter where you are once the boat leaves. Lots of opportunities for memory-making photos. The entertainment includes musicians (cimbalom, violin and cello), a singer, and four dancers. Had a great time! We didn't have kids but kid friendly.
Our server, Antonia was attentive, polite and always had a smile. The crew was also amazing and organized. The food was typical classic hungarian with good ol' fashion traditional folklore. Exceeded all our expectations.
Beautiful scenery and lights while cruising and enjoying the Danube!! Only suggestions…improve the a/c on the boat and have the background piano music s little softer.
Wonderful dining cruise on the Danube with friends. Absolutely faultless and a dream of a night. Food and service was fabulous, great drink choice and fab entertainment.
Food tasted great and GF options for all courses. There was a little confusion on the beverage option and for people that don’t drink champagne it would be nice for an alternative option. I’m sure an ice tea would be acceptable, but no. Staff was friendly but not over the top, but they had their hands full. Parliament lights were not on, which was sad but they are struggling with low power due to low water.
The ship was pleasant. We traveled up and back the Danube a couple times and we were able to step out onto the front and rear of the ship to take pics. The dinner itself was mediocre. The bread salad to start was not very good. The soup was decent (not much meat, mainly broth), but at least our main dish (pork) was very tasty. The desserts were hit and miss. The apple trifle I had was great whereas the red bean chocolate brownie ordered by my wife and daughter were not good. They ended up not eating the bread salad and the dessert. As for the entertainment, we were disappointed. We had a piano player who, while very good, played American tunes. We were expecting a Hungarian cultural experience with Hungarian artists and performers as advertised in the description and pictures. Also, none of the lights were on for Parliament, Buda castle, or the chain bridge. This was not at all the fault of the tour but due to an energy crisis at the moment. The Danube is very low and the local nuclear reactor is experiencing difficulties with cooling because of the water level. It would be good to know ahead of time that the journey would be mostly dark. All in all, it was a mediocre experience. Had I known this was to be the experience, I would have opted for something else.
This was a lovely experience, the staff and entertainment was brilliant. I would recommend replacing the 4 course dinner with some nibbles/sharing plates as the food was disappointing.
This dinner cruise exceeded my expectations. The food was good, the service staff were great, and the Hungarian entertainment was sensational! Our boat was only ~2/3 full but we had easy access to viewing/photo spots outdoors between meals. Didnt know whether I wanted to be indoors (for the entertainment) or outdoors for the breeze and amazing views more!
