Scoperte negli anni '90 e aperte al pubblico dopo due decenni di attento restauro, le Cayman Crystal Caves sono tra le meraviglie naturali più mozzafiato dell'isola. Avventurati in un mondo nascosto di stalattiti, stalagmiti e formazioni cristalline, scolpite dalla natura nel corso di innumerevoli secoli. Il tour guidato a piedi (circa 1,5 ore) ti porta attraverso la foresta tropicale circostante e tre spettacolari grotte, dove incontrerai una vegetazione lussureggiante, balsami strangolatori, piante d'aria e fauna selvatica autoctona come pappagalli e pipistrelli.
(Opzione 1) Conosciuto come il "luogo di nascita della democrazia" nelle Isole Cayman, il castello Pedro St. James è il più antico edificio in piedi di Grand Cayman, costruito nel 1780. Esplora la grande Great House a tre piani, passeggia nei suoi giardini panoramici e goditi un'esperienza teatrale 3D multisensoriale che riporta vividamente in vita la storia delle Cayman.

George Town dispone di tre terminal navali: 1. Royal Watler Terminal 2. Terminal Nord 3. Terminal Sud Siete pregati di notare che le navi da crociera che ancorano a Grand Cayman richiedono agli ospiti di prendere una piccola barca, nota come tender, per raggiungere la riva. È importante mettersi in fila presto per le gare d'appalto, poiché possono essere necessari fino a 60 minuti per sbarcare e raggiungere la riva. Se la tua nave fa un tender al Royal Watler Terminal : il tuo tour parte dall'interno del Royal Watler Cruise Terminal. Al momento dello sbarco, si prega di uscire attraverso la sicurezza e continuare a camminare dritto lungo il lungomare. Si prega di procedere all'ultima tenda con una tettoia bianca e cercare il cartello CAYTOURS. Il rappresentante locale vi aspetterà lì per il check-in. Se la vostra nave fa un tender per il Terminal Nord o il Terminal Sud: il vostro tour parte dall'interno del Terminal Crociere Royal Watler, che si trova a circa 3-5 minuti a piedi dal molo del tender. Al momento dello sbarco, siete pregati di chiedere alla sicurezza del porto le indicazioni per il Royal Watler Terminal. Una volta lì, uscire attraverso la sicurezza e continuare a camminare dritto lungo il lungomare. Si prega di procedere all'ultima tenda con una tettoia bianca e cercare il cartello CAYTOURS. Il rappresentante locale vi aspetterà. In caso di maltempo, e la vostra nave fa tender a Spotts Dock : Il vostro tour partirà direttamente da Spotts Dock. Al momento dello sbarco, si prega di rimanere a Spotts Dock e cercare il rappresentante locale in possesso di un cartello CAYTOURS per una facile identificazione. Per garantire una partenza senza intoppi, si prega di arrivare al luogo di incontro designato almeno 15 minuti prima dell'orario di partenza previsto per il tour. Alloggiare in un hotel o Airbnb? Prendiamo da tutti gli hotel e alloggi a Seven Mile Beach. Upon arrival, we met with our agents and took us to the van that took us to the caves right on time. It was our first time with this tour company and we will be using their services from now on. Highly recommended.

We were very concerned about meeting the group by 9 AM as our ship was not to disembark until 8:30 AM with tenders added to the wait time. Days leading up to the tour, the staff was very patient and used great communication. As it turned out, we got off the ship earlier than expected and the rest is history! The caves were interesting, and although humid even in December, there wasn't a mosquito problem that was stated with repellent offered beforehand. We weren't told about a drink/food offer at our own cost, so hardly anyone ordered anything. I can say that a daiquiri for $17 was a bit excessive. Afterward, we were dropped off at Pedro St James Castle for an hour of interesting history and home tour. Transportation was nicely appointed with leather seating although a little tight for two average adults. If you aren't a beachy person while in port, this tour is recommended.

The tour first drove us over from the cruise ship port over to the Crystal Caves. The tour began by going to the tree house where it was suggested we could order lunch at the restaurant and it would be ready for us to eat after completing the tour of the caves. When we came back from the tour the burgers were ready, but the fries were cold. After taking a couple of bites we were told we were out of time and to eat our lunch on the bus. Later discovered that we got charged over $500 for the lunch. Totally ridiculous! The rum tasting at Pedro St. James was also too rushed. We got little samples of 3 rums after the tour and then immediately back on the bus.
Our guide Yves was excellent! Knowledgeable and entertaining. Our guide Marlena at the castle was very knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions.

Our tour guide, Oscar, was very informative and funny! Also had a great interaction with Nancy at Cay tours. She contacted me prior to the tour to see if transportation was needed and was in contact until the tour ended.

Back at the Château Grand BARRAIL restaurant for a moment with the family. Very relaxing setting on the terrace under a beautiful sun. The tour bus had no leg room and I am only 5’4 . If you have been to other caves doesn’t waste your time and would advise to just look at the castle on you tube . Not worth the money .
