We booked an All Inclusive Catamaran tour through Viator with Carribean Golden. The day did not unfold as per the itinerary and we feel like we absolutely did not get the experience we were sold on the excursion ad. Firstly, our transportation picked us up at 8:00am and then had to double back as they seemed lost in picking other guests up. Upon arrival to the pier, we had to wait in the heat for over an hour before boarding the boat.. The quality of the food provided was sub par (sandwiches with partially melted cheese). Then upon boarding the boat, we discovered our particular catamaran had no sun shade whatsoever. The heat today was neat 40 degrees "real feel" and to spend all day in that kind of heat without shade was unmanageable. However, the biggest issues came with the timing. While the Snorkeling was fine, we arrived at Isla Mujeres at almost 1:15pm and were informed that we were to explore the town and return for 2:50pm to go for lunch. My elderly in laws were with us and had not eaten since the sandwich at the pier, which was hardly a sufficient snack. Being in their 70s, they needed to eat and so we had to pay for food in Isla Mujeres as the buffet was a couple hours away still. The heat was extreme and while this is not the fault of the tour provider, other boats had visibly better sun coverage than ours. We ultimately departed Isla Mujeres for the "beach club" and lunch. After almost another hour at snail pace on the sea, we arrived at 3:50pm. We asked how long we'd be allotted (as the itinerary indicated approximately 2 hours) and we were told the captain decides timing. Upon arrival we were given 1 hour. 1 hour instead of 2 to eat and "enjoy the beach". My elderly in laws were celebrating their anniversary and with the line ups at the buffet, they didn't even have enough time to enjoy the beach. The food at the buffet was awful and flavorless. We did not visit Playa Norte as advertised, got little to no time to enjoy the beach and were subjected to intense heat and rushed timing for no apparent reason. To say we were dissatisfied would be an understatement. This tour did not unfold as per the itinerary and when we brought our concerns to Viator and requested a partial refund given that we didn't even get to experience everything sold to us, the tour provider refused to provide any money back and didn't bother to respond to my email with concerns. We won't be booking with them ever again, not through Viator for that matter and would strongly encourage others not to either. There are plenty of other Catamaran tour companies that care more about providing the experience they advertise.

The best time and thank you for making it sweet for our bride. Wonderful service and very attentive. We loved it all and will do it again!!!

Allen was great. Definitely recommend the activity, definitely a full day activity so the kids might get tired based on age. But activity wise 10/10

The guide 10000000/10 The bartender ignores you a bit if they see you alone But other than that, even the quality of the food has improved a bit; more variety is needed. The transportation service is excellent, staff perfectly trained I would recommend the tour to my friends a thousand and one times.
