Well we can only comment to the point of getting in the boat as after getting on we immediately got off again and didn’t do the trip. It was advertised as 11.30 for 3 hours. After being picked up from our hotel which was meant to be 10.50 but came 15 mins later we were taken to the office in town, and everyone had to complete a form with passport no/emergency contact numbers (fair enough). We were then told to go away and come back 25 mins later for 11.50 am. After a very boring wait we were herded to a nearby square and lined up like school children with people coming from all directions into different lines, 10 mins later walked to the Pier. On the Pier another 15 mins to wait while other boats were loaded up. We had assumed the other lines of people were for different boats. Once we finally got on the boat (now approx 12.35 and 1.45 hrs for us since waiting for pick up), we watched as behind us the hoards of people were getting on our catermaran!! That meant we would be purchasing snorkels, beers/snacks with that no of people and swimming with 150 people at every stop too! We decided we had wasted enough of our day and got off and went to relax locally in a bar and by our hotel pool. Speaking to another person the snorkelling is average too. If you want to do a boat trip book a wooden smaller boat or pay lots of money for a private boat. Walk or get Ubers to different beaches - do not get a half day catamaran boat trip as it will be a whole day of your time and with the masses no matter how good the trip actually was.

The trip was wonderful, featuring snorkeling, swimming in the sea, and lively music and dancing on the boat. The Brazilian atmosphere was fantastic, making for a truly authentic experience. However, it would have been helpful if Viator had provided clearer instructions for non-Portuguese speakers, such as mentioning that we should look for the Libertas company. I had expected a Viator representative to be present, and nearly missed my trip while trying to figure things out. Additionally, a more precise departure time would have been helpfull. Once I connected with Libertas, their English-speaking staff were very helpful, ensuring I had all the necessary information and checking in on me during the snorkeling. Overall, it was a great experience!

The level of disorganization is unexplainable. We were told to arrive at 1130 for check in. We left as it was 1pm and still not ready to go. The persons for the check in were rude and disrespectful

The long wait, lack of clear communication, and the behavior you described at check‑in are unacceptable. Would like to share our disappointment today. First of all the pick up was 25 minutes late to pick us up from the hotel with no message to say that they are late. Secondly the bus provided was not up to the standard . The seats were dusty and not cleaned. There were foot marks on the bus floor probably yesterday's guests who used the bus. The guide did not speak English thoigh she tried her best to speak few sentences and used google transalate to communicate with us. We were not aware that the journey to reach Buzios was 5 and a half hours and the return was 4 and a half hours. Suggest that when guests opt for the Buzios trip they must be made aware of the time taken for travel to and fro. Also a suggestion that guests must have an option to stay for a night in Buzios at an extra cost.

We bought the catamaran ride on Sunday, to do it on Monday. That same night, at almost 10 pm, we were informed that it was cancelled due to weather and that we should reschedule for Tuesday. The same thing happened again Monday night: new cancellation and rescheduled for Wednesday. Although Monday and Tuesday were very good weather (sun and clear skies), we accepted to do the walk on Wednesday, although not entirely compliant, as we had already paid and wanted to live the experience. On Wednesday, the day of the walk, the weather was cloudy and rainy. Departure was at 11:30, but only at 12:30 we were still without clear information or answers. Finally, at the last minute we were told that our catamaran would not leave, but that they could put us on another boat, much simpler, with a return of just 40 reais. In the midst of the confusion and pressure of the moment, we accepted, although we later saw that the same boat ride was offered by the agency at a much lower price, which we found to be disrespectful. Afterwards, we learned that the coast guard had indeed authorized the departure of boats, so the catamaran did not simply leave by decision of the Enterprise. During the ride it rained, it was cold and the boat they put us on didn’t have enough coverage, so we ended up soaking wet and frozen, with a repetitive playlist and wishing the tour would end soon. We understand that the weather cannot be controlled, but you can be honest and professional with passengers. Constant rescheduling, lack of transparency and lack of empathy made this experience very unpleasant and frustrating. 💬 Tip: If the weather is unstable, do not accept forced rescheduling or last minute boat changes. Better ask for the return and avoid going through the same thing.
Our experience with this catamaran tour was really disappointing. We bought the ride through Booking on Sunday to do it on Monday morning, but on the same Sunday night we were informed that it would not leave due to bad weather, although Monday dawned totally sunny, with perfect conditions to sail. On Monday night we were told again that he would not leave on Tuesday, even though the weather was even better. Finally, on Wednesday, the day when there was a forecast for rain, they confirmed the departure. On Wednesday it was cloudy and rainy, but we went to the meeting point, where confusion reigned: there were only eight people, no one knew if the ride would leave or not, and we had to wait more than two hours until, at the insistence, we were informed that the boat would not leave because of engine problems or maintenance. This contradicted what had been said before, as the catamaran had apparently not been operational for days. As a “solution”, they offered to change us to a ride from another agency with a discount of 40 reais from the original price (120 reais). We accepted, although we later learned that this tour cost only 50 reais, while we were charged 80, leaving the agency with 30 reais per person without providing any Service, only deriving us. The new ride was very bad: full boat, cold, rain and no roof to cover, with passengers sitting on a plumavit deck to not slip. We recognize that the final decision to go was ours, as we were offered refund on the spot. However, we do not recommend accepting rescheduling. 👉 We understand that the weather is not the fault of the agency, but rescheduling ends up being a waste of time. It is best to ask for reimbursement and reschedule with another Enterprise when the weather is truly confirmed and stable. In short, a disorganized experience, unclear and far below what was promised. We would not recommend this tour, especially if you are looking for reliable and professional Service.
Dear, Today I participated in the contracted tour, which originally included a sea tour. However, due to weather conditions, it was replaced by a land tour. I understand that the climate is a factor that cannot be controlled, but I consider that the alternative offered did not measure up to the experience contracted. The land journey was very poor: it consisted basically of a bus transfer without music or animation, with a stop of approximately 45 minutes on a beach, and then free time in Busios where it was not safe to bathe without further organization. This does not compare at all to the promised experience of partying at sea. I think a more dynamic alternative tour could perfectly have been offered, for example, with animation during the transfer or a better organization of activities to make the experience equivalent. Instead, we spent most of the day on transport, which was disappointing. In addition, the price paid for the tour does not conform to the Service received, and no compensation, rebate or profit policy was reported to balance this situation. This generates a great sense of wasted time and money, affecting the planning of my vacation. Finally, I would like to mention that the person who received us in Búzios, Mariana, did not provide solutions or containment to the complaints, merely giving indications without offering real alternatives. I request that this claim be taken into account.
