Arrivare all'ingresso del Parco Nazionale, pagare il biglietto d'ingresso e intraprendere un trekking tonificante. Immergiti nella vivace foresta tropicale mentre incontri una serie di animali selvatici, tra cui visoni agili, curiosi scoiattoli, scimmie giocose, farfalle colorate e forse anche l'inafferrabile langur dalla testa gialla, un raro primate elencato nel Libro Rosso. Conquista tre montagne conosciute localmente come "Ang Vắt", "Mây Bầu" e "Ang Phay".Dopo aver completato un trekking di 2,5 ore che copre circa 6 chilometri, raggiungi il Frog Pond, il più grande lago d'acqua dolce immerso nella Foresta Nazionale. Dalle profondità dello stagno, gli imponenti alberi "Va Nuoc" raggiungono il cielo, una specie unica per lo stagno delle rane e che non si trova da nessun'altra parte sull'isola di Cat Ba. Osserva le diverse specie di pesci e granchi che abitano lo stagno e concediti una meritata pausa di 30 minuti. Continua il tuo trekking da Frog Pond, salendo sulla montagna finale chiamata "Doc Dài" per raggiungere il villaggio di Viet Hai, un tranquillo antico insediamento di circa 100 famiglie.
Durante il nostro viaggio di trekking attraverso la Foresta Nazionale di Cat Ba, ci fermeremo al villaggio di Viet Hai. Qui faremo un massaggio ai piedi al torrente di pesce, e pranzeremo al ristorante con piatti impregnati dell'identità culturale della gente del posto. Successivamente, pedaleremo per visitare il Villaggio e ci sposteremo al molo per salire a bordo della barca per visitare Vinh Lan Ha. Viet Hai è un villaggio nel profondo del Parco Nazionale Cat Ba con una bellezza incontaminata ed estremamente tranquillo. Fai un piacevole giro in bicicletta di 5 chilometri fino al porto di Viet Hai, dove salirai a bordo di una crociera panoramica in barca attraverso la baia di Lan Ha. Fermati in una casa galleggiante e imbarcati in un'avventura in kayak, esplorando l'ipnotica bellezza della baia di Lan Ha, rinomata come la baia più accattivante del mondo. Godetevi la tranquillità mentre vi immergete nelle acque cristalline della baia di Lan Ha. La barca ti riporterà al molo di Cai Beo, dove avrai l'opportunità di visitare il villaggio di pescatori di Cai Beo durante il viaggio di ritorno. Fondata secoli fa, Cai Beo testimonia l'eredità degli antichi abitanti di Cat Ba che sono passati da abitanti della foresta a comunità marinare, in cerca di sostentamento dalla generosità dell'oceano.

I had a great day under the guidance of Cảnh. He’s so enthusiastic, supportive, friendly and knowledgeable about the National Park. The service is 10 out of 10, highly recommend to anyone who loves immersing in nature. The trekking route was quite challenging but I slowly came over and enjoyed the nature more and more. Should bring mosquito spray, good hiking shoes and more clothes and sandals to change after finishing trekking.
The experience with Gecko was absolutely perfect. We was looking after us and taking care of every single detail the whole day!
We had an extraordinarily beautiful day on this tour. Our guide Gecko spoke excellent English, was in an infectiously good mood, and gave us a lot of interesting information about the park. The trail through the jungle is fascinating, but also physically demanding. Gecko supported and helped us well. The Viet Hai Valley is dreamily beautiful and the boat trip through Lan Ha Bay was very idyllic. Absolute recommendation!
We purchased the trekking package for Cat Ba National Park with a boat and kayak excursion in Lan Ha Bay. The experience was truly perfect. The guide, a really nice and kind young guy, super expert and fun, showed us a lot of animals and insects. Very thoughtful and attentive to our needs, he gave us water and fresh fruit during the trek. The lunch included in the park village was very good. After a 5-minute bike ride in the valley, the boat tour in the bay begins, culminating at the famous Monkey Island where we enjoyed a beautiful moment of sharing while swimming at the beach. Unrepeatable experience, truly highly recommended.
The experience with our guide Gecko was great. He is professional and sets the mood at the same time. The pace of the day was quite intense with many diverse activities (hiking, biking, fish spa, boat, kayak, swimming).

Beautiful day of trekking in an international group of about 12 people including Vietnamese and Europeans, with animals and nature. Also beautiful bike ride once you reach the village, good lunch and return to Cat Hai by boat with stops for kayaking and swimming. Gecko is a careful and fun guide!

We had so much fun on this tour! We loved that there was a mix of hiking, biking, and swimming! Two people on our tour slipped on rocks and cut their leg (very minor injuries) but our guide Gecko, was quick to attend these injuries and assist first aid on both of them. Gecko was a stand up guide, he gave us lots of information on the history and pointed out every creature we saw! He even took lots of photos for us! Gecko was super friendly and we cant recommend him and this tour enough!
