Castel del Monte, la famosa fortezza ottagonale simbolo della corona di Federico II di Svevia e magnifica testimonianza del regno di uno degli imperatori più affascinanti e misteriosi della storia medievale. Un'ora di tour all'interno degli ambienti interni ed esterni del maniero federiciano, per capire meglio cosa si cela dietro l'apparente semplicità e sobrietà di un castello che un tempo appariva molto più ricco e decorato di oggi. Lasciati accompagnare dalle nostre guide, che ti sveleranno dettagli altrimenti impossibili da notare con l'occhio del semplice visitatore. Il tour è su richiesta e non include il trasferimento a Castel del Monte. Punto di ritrovo al parcheggio CAT. Non sono inclusi il biglietto d'ingresso al castello (7 euro) e il costo del bus navetta (1 euro).

Visiteremo il magnifico maniero federiciano, che si erge su di una collina in località Santa Maria del Monte. Entreremo alla scoperta degli ambienti interni, apprezzandone le sue architetture ed i suoi dettagli decorativi, in gran parte andati distrutti o rubati a partire dal 1700. Parleremo anche dei misteri e delle leggende che si celano dietro questa affascinante fortezza e dietro la figura di Federico II di Svevia. Un tour dinamico ed informale, all'insegna della storia, della bellezza e del mistero.

Very informative tour. We learned a lot about history and Frederick II.
A very impressive and well-maintained monumental site. In my opinion, the ticket price is too high (10 euros per person) considering that the castle is practically empty and the guide is an additional cost. It is worth visiting for its unique shape and location.

This castle is spectacular, definitely worth a visit also because it is all very well organized. You get to a parking area you leave your own and take a shuttle that with only 2 euros takes you to the top and at the end always with the same ticket takes you back down, no waiting. If you go on the first Sunday of the month the visit is free. From the castle you can enjoy an exceptional panoramic view. A unique monument that makes you think that in the past the builders were geniuses with a fabulous talent for having built buildings that nowadays are still standing to defy time.
