La dea Pelé e il primo re delle Hawaii, Kamehameha, si uniscono in uno straordinario tour in elicottero di 90 minuti che mette in mostra quattro vulcani e le cascate della straordinaria costa di Kohala. Inizia dalle limpide acque della Baia di Kailua, poi sali per vedere la potenza di Pelé nel più grande vulcano attivo del mondo, Mauna Loa. Il cratere Ka'upulehu e il vulcano Hualalai lasciano poi il posto alla vetta del Mauna Kea, a 13.796 piedi sopra il livello del mare. A nord, il vulcano Kohala e il suo paesaggio brullo conducono alla riserva forestale Puu Waawaa, che ospita piante e animali autoctoni. Best helicopter ride I’ve had. Volcanoes and waterfalls. Knowledgeable pilot. Defwoould recommend !!!
Amazing experience our pilot Ben was awesome. We highly recommend! Ben was exceptional and very informative.
The customer service and hospitality of the team was exceptional! We booked a private flight with just the two of us. I was just over the weight limit. Had to reschedule for different day on bigger copter that holds more people and would be with other people. However, on that flight, the other passengers couldn’t make it. So we ended up private after all. Wilson was a great host, Michael “Turtle” was a great knowledgeable pilot, I forget everyone else’s name. But they were all very hospitable. The flight was amazing. 1.5 hours of coastline and waterfalls, canyons, valleys, and picturesque views of the largest volcano Mauna Kea. Very smooth ride. Even though the pilot said “turbulence” in areas. We barely noticed any. Highly recommend paying extra for the pictures AND video package of your flight. One half of video image screen is inside, bottom half is outside.

Spectacular. Our pilot, JoJo, was skilled, personable and knowledgeable. The views were breathtaking and the ride fun and smooth. Highly recommend!
No door, no floor, still got (great) service. Really fun, beautiful views, very knowledgeable. Saw whales, saw waterfalls, cliffy things and more water. 10 out of 10 experience. Would recommend if you like wind.

The pilot/guide was super great!! And I know cannot control the weather.... due to clouds we did not see anything but the coastline on the Kona side. We paided the higher priced tour to see volcano and waterfalls ... didn't see any. Unfortunately it was our last day so couldn't reschedule.

Rainbow helicopters exceeded expectations 😀. From the check in experience and the pre flight briefing to the flight itself, Rainbow went above and beyond (pun intended 😀). Our pilot (Josh) clearly loves his job and his enthusiasm for showcasing the Big Island from the air made our flight all the more enjoyable. Rainbow have a safety first credo and we never once felt uncomfortable during our doors off flight. The helicopter itself and Josh’s piloting were smooth as silk. If you are comfortable with heights we strongly recommend the doors off experience. Recognition is also due to Wilson who met us on arrival, conducted the pre flight briefing and looked after us with charm and good humour until flight time. This is not an inexpensive experience but in our opinion Rainbow delivered great value for money.

The staff was super nice and the information they sent leading up to the event was very clear and helpful in finding the meeting location. We did the doors open tour and they provided an additional jacket for us because it was going to be cold (and it was) so we were grateful for their extra thought for our comfort. We did not get to see the active volcano due to cloud cover, but the rest of the views were amazing. I did balk at the price and passed on booking initially but decided to book it a few days before my vacation started and I am glad I did. I think it was for sure worth it.
