The image does not represent what is offered. I bought it understanding that I would have the tour on the macuco boat, but I had nothing. The only thing I had was the transfer from the hotel to the cataract tour (not included).
It’s a trap because of how the listing is written. The description makes it seem like the boat ticket is included, especially since the title and the “What’s Included” section mention the boat. In reality, the price only covers transportation. I paid $29 per person, and once there we were asked to pay an additional $75 per person for the boat ride. At that price, the boat experience is honestly not worth $75. From what I saw, the boats on the Argentina side of Iguazu Falls look much more exciting and seem to take you closer and even under the much bigger falls. Overall, the advertisement is misleading, and you should be aware of the extra cost before booking.
Not clear advertising on what was included, poor communication until the last minute, a nice tour guide.
The bath in the waterfalls is wonderful! The boat is close to the waterfall and really washes up to the soul. The ride is safe. The bartender makes some moves to give emotion on the way to the waterfall but does not fear. The problem is to get to the boat: queues to enter, to exchange tickets, there are some trenzinhos that take up to a walk of 600 m that take a while to arrive and the walk has many steps. And the return of the boat also takes a while. Disheartened staff without energy for an adventure park. They do the basics. Can improve a lot by the price charged.
A fantastic trip, lasting around 1.5 hours from when we arrived to when we got back to the station. You start with an informative drive through the jungle, then an optional eco walk of around 600 meters. Our guide for the journey was Rodney, he was exceptional. So informative, chatty and very funny. What an asset to the company. Then you arrive at the platform where there’s a small shop and lockers (20 reals). Then you get a funicular down to the boat. The boat ride was around 20/25 minutes and was fabulous. Yes you get soaked (even with the ponchos we had on), but isn’t that what it’s all about. You saw the larger falls from a distance but for safety reasons we went under smaller falls. You could buy a video and photos of your experience which was very cheap (80-120 reals). I would recommend you purchase that. The boat cost 375 reals per person (approx gbp55).
Following a friend's recommendation I bought a Macuco Safari Boat experience for the Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian side. It included guide, transfers and Macuco boat ticket (within brackets it said depending on the option you chose). Long story short, I ended up paying over 50 usd for getting transferred from a pick-up point in a hotel Brazilian side 1 hour later with a van driven by a tour guide. I already had paid for a transfer to the Brazilian side in order to get to the pick up point, which could've left me at the entry of the Park and then take a free bus inside the Park. But the Tour was basically driving me and my 10 yo daughter from the pick up point to the Park and a couple of kilometers that can be done by a free bus. The Park ticket was not included, I was aware of that during the online purchase. But the Boat trip opt-in was not visible so I ended up paying misguided because by the time I went to Macuco's reception desk they told me my voucher did not include the boat trip. After losing half an hour waiting for someone at the operator that delivered the service to confirm what was going on I had to purchase tickets for the experience I thought I had with the bitter feeling of being scammed because I paid for something that was not totally worth it, could've gotten by the same money already paid to get to the Brazilian side and lost precious holiday time with my daughter. And, the worst of it, they sold me a Safari Boat trip that did not include a Safari Boat.
Such a cool experience to go down in the river and under the huge waterfall!!!!! We got drenched! It was a chance of a lifetime experience. So much fun and we got video and pictures of the whole experience. Such a great memory.
The falls were magnificent! Bigger than we had anticipated. We used a local tour guide who showed us around the Brazilian side of the falls, and then the next day took us over to the Argentinian side of the falls. On the Argentinian side, there is a very large well maintained park which has three trails that you can take to view the falls. You can access the upper trail via a small train. The falls on the Argentinian side are much more spectacular! We're glad we took the time to go to the other side.
Well organized and friendly guide who led us through the whole experience. It was so amazing! Highly recommend
Falls were awesome! The safari boat was the highlight. Tour company did pick-up and drop off at our hotel. We also had an excellent guide, Junior, who spoke very good English. Would definitely recommend.
