Campo Base Everest Trek

I completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Adventure Great Himalaya Treks & Expedition in December, and it was an experience that perfectly balanced challenge and awe. Let's be honest: it was extremely cold. The temperatures, especially at night and on Lobuche, Gorak Shep and Kala Patthar are no joke. However, this challenge is precisely what made the trip so special and rewarding. And what a journey! The winter scenery was absolutely spectacular. The skies were crystal clear every single day, offering unobstructed, panoramic views of the Himalayas that were even more vivid and sharp than I imagined. The trails were quieter, the villages more serene, and the frozen waterfalls and dusted pine forests looked like something from a fairy tale. It was a pure, peaceful wilderness experience. Our guide, Krishna, was exceptional. His winter trekking experience was invaluable—he knew exactly how to pace us, which teahouses had the best sun exposure and warmth, and constantly monitored everyone for signs of cold stress. His knowledge and cheerful attitude kept our spirits high even on the coldest mornings. If you are prepared for the cold (both mentally and with the right gear provided), trekking in winter with Adventure Great Himalaya Treks & Expedition is an absolute privilege. You trade some greenery for the most majestic mountain vistas you will ever see, all with the support of a highly professional team. I felt safe, well-cared-for, and utterly amazed throughout. Highly recommended for seasoned trekkers or adventurous beginners looking for a unique and stunning EBC experience.

When my husband and myself made the decision to embark on this great adventure to the Himalayas we came across Babu and his great team with Adventures Great Himalaya & Expedition and we are so thankful that we had them by our side the entire time. From communications all the way from south-africa to traveling, to the actual trek. There was never n second that we were uncertain of anything, no unwanted surprise. They delivered what they promised and so much more. Our guide Arjum and porter “mountain goat” was the best. Not only were they professional but they made us feel welcome and part of the mountains. If we had questions they were eager to answer. We are planning on returning to Nepal in 2027 and won’t even consider going with any other company. Thank you Babu for an unforgettable trip.
