I’ve trekked with Narayan twice now, and at this point he’s more than just a guide—he’s a friend. Narayan is knowledgeable, reliable, and always makes sure everyone is having a great time. He’s also one of the funniest people I’ve met, and we shared countless laughs on the trail. If you’re looking for an authentic trekking experience in Nepal with someone who genuinely cares about people, I can’t recommend Narayan enough.
Narayan, and our porters, Bisnu and Susan, made the ABC Trek such a safe and memorable experience. Narayan was the most entertaining, goofy and knowledgeable guide! We joked that every teahouse belongs to him because he was always in the kitchen helping out! Two of my friends started the trek with existing injuries, and Narayan took extra care to ensure they crossed every bridge, river, and steep section safely. *cue piggyback and taking over daypacks* Narayan also gave us plenty of assurance when some of us lost confidence in completing the trek. 10/10 emotional support!!! Couldn’t thank Narayan and the team more for everything!
I must say that our guide was tremendously helpful and kind – Narayan! With the 2 porters (Susan and Bisnu), Narayan went the extra mile in ensuring that we were safe at all times. 2 out of 4 of us were injured and he did all he could to ensure all of us reached ABC, which was our mission. He didn't have to, but he did – piggybacked my friend who tripped and fell, and he carried my heavy backpack as I was panting out of breath. Narayan was also informative, sharing with us the history of Nepal during our lunch/dinner breaks (only if we were okay with it!). Everyone knew him at the teahouses, and he was always the jovial and friendly guide, who was never tired or out of breath! If you ever wanna trek, please engage him as your guide!
