The Calypso Cabaret at Asiatique Riverfront is absolutely awesome. The cast is very beautiful and the music, dancing and lip syncing is great. I’ve seen the show 3 times since 2019. However, I find the segment with Patti LaBelle to be very offensive and degrading. In the show Patti LaBelle is depicted as a clown like character with a bad hair-do, horrible costume and extremely bad clown makeup. This character needs a complete makeover. I am not sure why the show’s producer decided to depict the LEGENDARY Patti LaBelle in this manner but I find it degrading. Ms. LaBelle is a classy, sophisticated and beautiful REAL woman with extraordinary talent, who in no way resembles a clown. All of the other characters in the show are extremely beautiful except the one female black character who portrays Patti LaBelle. What’s the message here?

We had such a great experience. Staff was super attentive, the “showgirls” were amazing! My wife and I really really enjoyed this and would recommend as a great venue for entertainment in the evening in Bangkok

We loved cruising on the White Orchid. Making this crossing at night is magical. The Calypso show was breathtaking and it ended our evening in style. The production is excellent. Artists are entertaining. We had an amazing evening!

Absolutely amazing, so entertainnighting! Beside the night market along the riverfront so make time to visit this as well. We bought our tickets through our hotel so probably paid more than we should have. Cost us $1800 baht for two people but after seeing the show it was totally worth it. You can buy tickets outside at the booth in the night market. We had a table to sit at but I am sure the seats without tables were cheaper. Would absolutely go to this show again if I ever returned to Bangkok!

Don’t underestimate Bangkok traffic if you’re travelling by road! It’s a lovely show, really fun and glamorous. High production value. Lots of restaurants around for a bite to eat before or after the show.

This is an amazing visual experience than a dancing show with awesome background graphics and beautiful dazzling costumes. I enjoyed the numbers the boys did the most, as they were funny. The show lasts about 60 minutes. The drinks were a little slow considering there was not many guests - I had one beer the entire show however ordered another via the QR code on the table which did not arrive. Finally you do have to run the gauntlet at the end when you leave, with all the performers lined up along a corridor so you can have a photo with them for 100THB - this is how you tip your favorite performer. Tipping is very normal and expected at these types of shows, however I was not expecting to have to walk down a narrow corridor with the performers either side trying to catch your attention - I was alone so felt quite overwhelmed, but if I was with friends I would have got some pictures/tipped!
