The food tour was nice and Ahmed was a gracious host and a great guide. The tour has a shopping component to it. They take you to a souvenirs and jewelry shop, papyrus painting shop and cotton shop. The food choices were great but we went in a very hot month and our young one got tired of the heat so we decided to get back before the last good stop. It’s interesting to get the real experience.

Ahmed was our guide and took us around local Cairo Giza. There were 6 people (2 elderly)and we had to take 2 separate cars. It was a nice experience and we attended a papyrus shop, parfumery, cotton clothing store and giza bazaar in between. We ate Koshary, falafel sandwich and skipped out on the last 2 as it became too tiring. (Meat fruit and egyptian tea)

We had a lovely first day in Egypt together with Tamer on the food tour. Not only did he take us to a few local eateries for some staple Egyptian delicacies, he also shared the local history and his personal family experiences with us. This made the tour very interesting. Tamer was very careful about our needs - he changed the stops on the tour to suit what we wanted. Above all he was a very kind and patient gentleman who spoke freely and gave us good tips like an older brother. Thank you Tamer!

We always try to explore the local lifestyle of the places we visit, and not only the turistic spots! That is why we choose this tour and we make the right choice! Food was super tasty! And our guide, Assem, was super nice!! He was explainning a lot of information about Cairo and egyptian while driving to the places! He make us feel very comfortable! We recommend it

I wanted to like this. Let me start with the positives. My guide was very sweet and most of the food we had was very good. Spent 120.00 for 2 people for maybe and that’s a big maybe 25.00 usd dollars of food. I would have been fine with that had I learned about the food, the culture or maybe how it is prepared and the significance…..really anything. The goal seemed to be to take us to get one piece of food and then to shops I did not ask to go to but I am sure they most get something if I buy from the shops ( papyrus, oil and cotton). I did buy a few things so it worked out but again felt like it was more of a let me drive you around to shops with a few snacks along the way. This would have been a great tour for maybe 75.00 for 2 but way over priced and not your typical tour. I honestly loved my guide as he was very kind just would have liked more.

Great tour, was a great way to get a taste of local food. All the food was delicious (especially the falafel and shawarma, yum!) We had to make a few changes to the schedule because plans changed and they were very accommodating.

We had a good night exploring Cairo with a local guide Hany. We had a sunset felucca ride by ourselves. Very interesting to see Cairo from the Nile. We next had a chance to enjoy stuffed pitas (falafel and bean paste) plus koshari. It was all delicious! We had the koshari with tea in a local neighborhood cafe. It was a great way to experience an evening in the life of a Cairo local. Be ready for an adventure in the streets of Cairo!

Great experience! Me (33) and my Father (58) went on a tour with Karam. He took us to old Cairo to restaurants known to the locals only! We ate Koshari, a plate with selected meat, salads, Falafel, Ful, special sugar-cane juice and awesome dessert calls Um-ali. Karam was really nice, kind and fluent in English. Really recommended!
