Il tour inizia al porto, dove sali su un pullman con aria condizionata per un'ora di auto lungo strade panoramiche, passando per villaggi pittoreschi sulla strada per Cahuita. Questo è un bellissimo Parco Nazionale che combina una grande spiaggia di sabbia bianca con un'esuberante foresta pluviale. Durante la passeggiata naturalistica, la nostra guida turistica naturalista indicherà le diverse specie faunistiche presenti nel parco come scimmie, bradipi, iguane, tucani e altre specie. Dopo la passeggiata nella natura, è inclusa una sosta per uno spuntino nella città di Cahuita, dove puoi gustare un drink o assaggiare i sapori locali dei Caraibi. Tornando al molo, è inclusa una sosta presso una piantagione di banane per saperne di più su questo importante raccolto per l'economia costaricana. Oltre alla banana, imparerai il cioccolato e altri prodotti importanti di questa ricca regione. Come parte del tour è incluso anche un negozio di souvenir prima del ritorno alla nave.

Un bellissimo parco nazionale situato a circa 1 ora dal molo, con una ricca fauna selvatica, vegetazione e cultura caraibica. Il Cahuita National Park è un parco nazionale terrestre e marino nell'area caraibica di conservazione di La Amistad in Costa Rica, situato sulla costa caraibica meridionale di Limón, collegata alla città di Cahuita. Cahuita è unica in Costa Rica per le sue strette relazioni con la comunità, un esempio di gestione condivisa tra la comunità e il governo per uno sviluppo sostenibile a livello di comunità. La partecipazione delle guardie del parco e della vita della comunità si distingue per una gestione della governance condivisa. In questo ecosistema, immerso nei Caraibi ma con un ambiente forestale, troverai specie come procioni, bradipi, iguane e basilischi. Noterai anche serpenti come tinsel e tamagá e uccelli come il falco nero. All'interno del parco è possibile praticare sport ricreativi ed escursioni sui sentieri, o semplicemente godersi le spiagge nuotando o prendendo il sole.
Puerto Limón, comunemente noto come Limón, è la capitale e il fulcro principale della provincia di Limón, nonché del cantone di Limón in Costa Rica. È la settima città più grande del Costa Rica, con una popolazione di oltre 55.000 abitanti, ed è sede della comunità afro-costaricana. La provincia dei Caraibi è un paradiso naturale, formato da una combinazione di fitte giungle, imponenti montagne e spiagge paradisiache. Limon ha la più alta percentuale di terre protette in Costa Rica, nonché una grande varietà di flora e fauna. La sua vegetazione è esuberante come lo sono le culture in tutta la provincia.

This is the same tour offered by our cruise ship but was a better value. You get three different experiences - 1) a visit to a nearby national park with sloths, monkeys and some birds, 2) an organic banana plantation where you learn both about the fruit and the packaging process and 3) a canal tour on a boat offering close-ups of sloths and caimans. Our guide Nathalie was a delight - very informative, positive and professional.. Highly recommended!

This was a well organized day with a biologist as our guide. He was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He was aware of the needs of the group and offered spot stop options for those who were mobility challenged. The driver was aware and watched for opportunities to see wildlife en route and stopped for amazing sites. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a great tour and our guide Natalie was exceptional. The bus and boat were clean and comfortable and Natalie was full of knowledge about the area and all the species. I learned so much in the 6 hours of the tour. Highly recommend this one!

Our guide Ariel was great-Pickup outside the port was easy, transportation was very comfortable and the locations visited were amazing. Ariel shared his wealth and breath of knowledge, never rushed us at the three destinations - Cahuita National Perk, the banana plantation and a river tour and made it a really interesting and fun day. As warned, bring Deet as the mosquitos can be a little aggressive and carry water and snacks as we spent six hours on the tour. There is food and drink that can be bought at the banana plantation and the prices are reasonable. A really nice thing our guide did- let us know that we would be arriving back at the port on time, several times during the day.
