Questa escursione di 12 ore inizia nella Valle di Lerma e poi ti porta in macchina fino a El Carril, proseguendo per Chicoana. Lasciati incantare dalla bellezza sorprendente delle gole conosciute come Quebrada de los Laureles e Quebrada de Escoipe. Guidare lungo la Cuesta del Obispo, su una strada con curve abbondanti. Ammira le viste panoramiche della Valle incantata e le piccole case circondate da campi di mais e alberi da frutto. Nel momento in cui raggiungi la Piedra del Molino sarai a 3.384 metri sul livello del mare, il punto più alto del viaggio. Quando arrivi a Cachi, avrai ampie vedute di Nevado de Cachi e Payogasta. Nella città di Cachi, ti fermerai per visitare il museo archeologico e la chiesa.

Itinerario
Inizia il tuo tour con un ritiro dal tuo hotel in posizione centrale a Salta alle 7:30 circa.
Quindi, dirigiti verso la Lerma Valley, viaggiando fino a superare El Carril.
Una volta attraversato El Carril, proseguirai per Chicoana. Quindi, entra nella Quebrada de los Laureles, conosciuta anche come The Laurel's Gorge.
Successivamente, dirigetevi verso la Quebrada de Escoipe, la gola di Escoipe.
Continuando con il tour, arrivi al Maray imboccando la strada The Bishop's Cliff e percorri le sue abbondanti curve, godendo di una vista panoramica della Valle Incantata lungo il percorso. Una volta giunti a Piedra del Molino, La Pietra del Mulino, avrete raggiunto i 3384 metri sul livello del mare.
Successivamente, il Parco Nazionale Los Candones sarà attraversato dalla linea retta di Tin Tin, l'antica strada costruita dagli Incas.
Arrivate almeno a Cachi e ammirate le vedute diffuse del Nevado de Cachi e di Payogasta. Entra nella città per visitare il Museo Archeologico e la Chiesa.
Ammira la chiesa coloniale di Cachi.
Visita al Museo Archeologico di Cachi.
Ammira il museo di storia del nord.
Termina il tour al ritorno alle tue sistemazioni a Salta.

If you are hesitant because of the duration... it's worth. The journey is the experience and not the destination. If you are afraid of heights, as I am, dont worry about it. With someone else driving you get to experience the beauty of the valley below. These aren't European or USA mountains with terrifying cliff edges. Our guide Santiago was great. It was a great day overall.

I wish we could give a higher rating, because I think the tour guide tried hard to make this a good day out. However, the tour was sold as being in English as well as Spanish, and our driver/guide didn’t have any English at all. I have a little bit of Spanish so I managed to understand some, but it was difficult for me because I’m not fluent and I spent all day trying to understand quickly enough to translate for my partner. There were four of us on the tour, in a 4x4 where I was sat in the middle of the back seat. It was not very comfortable for me because I was squashed against a man I did not know for a long drive. There is some beautiful scenery, and I’m sure the driver/guide gave some interesting information if you are fluent in Spanish. I don’t have a problem with people not speaking English - but they should advertise and sell tickets as a Spanish tour in that case, so it is honestly advertised. Then we would have known to book with another tour company instead.

We went by car, alternating stretches of road in good condition and some really terrible ones. And don't confuse gravel, dirt (things I love) with routes completely pocked with saws and without signage. The views on the trip are not great (nothing to do with the trip to Cafayate). We arrived in Cachi at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and literally EVERYTHING closed. The craft fair closes at 3:00 p.m., nothing to eat, just a cafeteria and an open ice cream parlor. To highlight, in the cafeteria they did not want to sell us water for the thermos (I don't have any, said the manager ha). I would not return, for us a lost day.

A very good experience was traveling to Cachi... The little town is dreamlike and the mountain road is very beautiful... You reach a height of 3,458 meters above sea level in Piedra del Molino, with some of the most beautiful landscapes... attention to those who sign up... Highly recommended....
We had a lovely experience!! Our tour guide was wonderful, the views were spectacular, and the bus was very comfortable! It’s a lot of time on the bus but seems like the best way to see all of these places in one go! Definitely recommend.
