Bungee Jumping al Victoria Falls Bridge

As an older couple who never had any intention of bungee jumping , we decided to throw caution to the wind !!! My husband and I visited the Shearwater team to watch other jumpers and to discuss our personal concerns . The team were very professional, understanding and reassuring. My husband was extremely keen to jump and loved every minute of it . I am over 60 , overweight and have two knee replacements so needed extra encouragement. I wore a full body harness so as not to put strain on my legs . I was very nervous but the guys were brilliant and supportive through the whole experience. I am so glad I jumped . I would definitely not be put off doing it again. Don’t be put limited by thinking “I can’t do that” !!!! You often can !

Bungee Jumping from The Victoria Falls Bridge was the highlight of our trip to Zimbabwe & Zambia! While the setup was a bit crude by western standards, I felt completely safe at all times! It was even exciting once they pulled me up to the lower level of the bridge to get to climb through the trusses of the historic bridge to get back to the top. I would definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Victoria Falls. On a side note, because the bungee jump is in the center of the Victoria Falls Bridge in a somewhat “no man’s land” between Zimbabwe and Zambia, we came from the Zambia side in a taxi and the driver had to get a “Bridge Pass” to take us to the registration point. We also had to leave our passports at the Border Control Office, which was a little unnerving, but it worked out fine in the end.😉 Overall, it was an exhilarating experience and one that I would highly recommend to everyone!

Bungee Jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge was an opportunity of a lifetime! The reservation process through our hotel concierge was easy and the check-in process went very smooth. The process of getting to the bridge was a bit challenging, as we were staying in Zambia and had to get a Bridge Pass with our driver to be able to get to the bridge because it is directly between Zimbabwe and Zambia. We had to leave our passports at the border control office, which was a little unnerving, but it worked out just fine. The crew on the bridge were very efficient and professional and the entire rigging process only took a few minutes. The bungee jump itself was absolutely amazing, as you’re so close to Victoria Falls and the river gorge is beautiful! The retrieval process went really smooth, although there was a bit more spinning of the bungee line while hanging at the bottom. They give you a handheld GoPro, so you can film yourself on the jump, which was a neat idea! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and just goes to show that age is only a number, as I’m 61 years young! Highly, highly recommend!!

My wife's 75 year old mother celebrated her birthday by bungee jumping off Victoria Falls Bridge with her daughter/my wife. That is living life to the fullest. Seriously, the staff there was great - so fun yet professional and safe. Just Do It??
