Bukit Lawang Full Day Jungle Trek

I had come from Medan 4 hours so I arrived at park entrance 5 minutes after 1, but they had left, so I then had another guide, it was a silent tour no speaking as the guide didn't speak English, and no lunch or food and we saw 2 orangutan and 1 monkey, it was 3 hour trek, the tube back was good and the best part, the tour cost €75, because it was only 3 hours and I paid 7 he offered for me to go the next day but I had to leave for medan

We had an incredible jungle trekking experience with Bukitlawangtour! Our guide, Tantawi Obiwan, and our helper, Reza, were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were extremely knowledgeable about the jungle and wildlife, and they took wonderful care of us the entire trip — truly real 5-star treatment in the middle of the jungle. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to see both orangutans and gibbons in their natural habitat, which was unforgettable. They made the trek feel safe, exciting, and very enjoyable while sharing so much information along the way. Tour was great, got to see a wild orangutan up close. We got a full platter of fruit made by our guide Dedek, followed by a delicious lunch. Would definitely recommend to anybody who would like to explore the jungle and see the wildlife.

I can't recommend this trip enough. Both guides (Rifan and Rama) were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The trek was hard going on the way up - a decent level of fitness is definitely required. The journey down was even harder. Lots of long steep steps, a few experiences of abseiling (slight exaggeration but very close). The rubber tubing down was relaxing although watch out for the rocks on the bottom of the shallow river at some points. All in, a long and exhausting day, but worth it to see all the orangutans and monkeys in their natural habitat

Good trip- managed to see quite a few orangutans in their habitat with IG worthy fruit platter! Ended off with a relaxing tube raft back.

After a drive from our hotel in Medan, we were greeted by our friendly guide. He briefly described our day in the jungle. Throughout the journey, he played his full guiding role. It's reassuring when you're not used to jungle treks 😉🌞 We were very lucky because we were able to observe orange-outs and other monkeys close to us several times 🐒 After an excellent snack and unlimited fresh fruit, this trek ended with a refreshing rafting🌬️💦 that brought us back to our starting point. In short, an excellent day well organized. Great 👍

Excellent local people and helpful throughout even more than they should. Thanks to everyone especially to the leader and guide, good food and they brought us our suitcases to the hotel and also arranged us the shuttle airport.

The trip with our both tour guides Haikal and Rizky was so amazing. We saw 5 Orang Utans in 6 hours, which is pretty incredible. We had much fun and they even helped us to organize a taxi from Medan. Overall the experience was amazing and also quite cheap compared to other companies. Can only recommend this spot and the nice people!!!

I had an amazing experience on the Bukit Lawang Full Day Trekking Tour! The journey from Medan to Bukit Lawang took about 3.5 hours, leading to the stunning Gunung Leuser Nationalpark. The jungle was breathtaking, with incredible wildlife like orangutans, gibbons, and Thomas leaf monkeys. My guide was knowledgeable, spoke great English, and shared fascinating insights about the flora and fauna. The 4–6 hour trek was exciting, with a delicious jungle picnic and a refreshing swim at a hidden waterfall. The optional tube rafting down the Bohorok River was a fantastic finale. Highly recommended for nature lovers!

This was an amazing tour. The tour operator was so kind. He helped to arrange a taxi for us from the airport to the eco lodge and back the next day! My friend and I had a great time with the tour guides Selamat and Joe. They were very knowledgable, funny, and helped us with the trickier parts of the hike. Highly highly recommend!
