Budapest had a heat wave, but our tour guide Esther, helped make the delicious food tour interesting and as comfortable as possible. Lots of great local dishes with the history of the area.
Awesome food tour! Great balance of different foods, savory and sweet. Mesi was awesome
I thoroughly enjoyed my FoodaPest Market and Hungarian food tour with Lucy in Budapest. She was delightful and introduced me to a wide variety of local foods at restaurants I would have never found. This was a great way to spend 3 hours getting to know a little more about Budapest and its cuisine.
I really enjoy food tours when exploring a new city and this one was a great tour in Budapest. Our tour guide, Emma, was a great tour guide and made the experience fantastic!
If you're visiting Budapest, do this food tour! Our guide, Lucy, was amazing. She was super easy to understand and spoke clearly over the city noise, which we really appreciated. Loved that she gave us the history behind the food (learning why pickling became such a big thing here was so cool!). The regional history she shared gave the whole experience great context. The group size is capped at 12, so the pace was perfect and it never felt rushed. Will definitely be recommending this to all my friends!
We went on a trip advisor food tour in Bratislava last week, it was $150 pp and way overpriced, so we were curious to see how this one went at $80pp. It was great value and the two tour guides Emma and Ester were great. It was HOT but they kept us in the shade as best they could. The only suggestion I have is to end the tour in a place that has air conditioning and not the one they use. These two tour guides were very knowledgeable and fun, we enjoyed it.
So much fun! Familiar food as Hungarian myself but worth the visit as visiting from overseas. Bought back childhood memories. Thanks Lucy
Emma was an amazing guide and the tour was perfect. The weather was brutally hot but Emma ensured that our water bottles were filled at each stop. We took our 2 young kids including our 6 year old daughter and Emma was great with her. We highly recommend this tour.
Mrs DownUnder and I always look to do a food tour in a new city/country we visit. It’s a great introduction to local cuisine, get a feel for a place and learn about the local area. This tour did not disappoint. The market was really interesting, the food and drinks were great and the guide Lucy was superb. I highly recommend this tour.
Informative walk around town learning historical facts and tasting food related to the history and culture of Budapest.
