It was the best time ever, seeing inside Buckingham Palace and the amazing art collection. It was truely breath taking.
Get there as soon as you can in the morning so as to avoid the masses of crowd people Such amazing experience to see the many rooms within the palace and also the Eatery has really tasty cakes and slices to indulge yourself. The history with him the walls of the palace is incredible BUT you are not allowed to take photos to purchase the palace guide when you enter so you can have a keepsake to show family and friends.
Very informative. Ellen was very knowledgeable. We had an overall amazing time learning about the royal family, some great history, and exploring the rooms in Buckingham Palace!
This was an excellent taster for the British monarchy and its heritage, Delightfully delivered by our Tour guide Marilyn who was a very knowledgeable historian with an easy listening style and a mind-field of facts and figures knowledge. First time we have used City Tours and whilst the guide is only 30 interactive mins from the overall guide, there is enough knowledge passed on meet the most inquisitive of minds. Would highly recommend this !
Angie is a charming and entertaining guide who gave us a very good introduction with many interesting informations about Buckingham palace and the surrounding. Thank you! We are Team Angie! The palace itself is a must!
The tour guide’s microphone wasn’t working so no one was able to hear the tour except those in very close proximity to him. We didn’t spend any time at the front of the palace, so we missed out seeing the guards. This was the biggest waste of money, I do not recommend.
Dear Alicia_P, We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We especially regret that the microphone issue meant you were unable to properly hear the guide for much of the tour. Being able to hear and follow the guide is an essential part of the experience, and we understand how frustrating this must have been. We are also sorry that you did not have the opportunity to spend time at the front of the palace and see the guards, particularly if this was something you were looking forward to. We understand how disappointing it is to feel that you missed an important part of the experience. We take your feedback seriously and will share your comments with our team so that the issues you experienced can be reviewed. We sincerely apologise that the tour did not provide the experience you expected and regret that you left feeling that it was not worth the cost.
The tour guide was professional and informative. Excellent from start to finish. Would definitely do again and would recommend to others. Great experience.
It’s wonderful to see the old palace . But it was way too crowded. They let in too many people in at any given time. It was the same at the Kings Gallery viewing Queen Elizabeth’s wardrobe. It makes the whole experience less enjoyable and quite stressful.
Dear Juliet_K, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are so sorry to hear that the crowds and congestion impacted your experience and made your visit feel stressful. While the palace and the King's Gallery do attract a high volume of visitors at this time of year—and guest capacity is managed closely by the main palace administration to balance access—we completely understand how overwhelming large crowds can be and how they can detract from enjoying the exhibits. We truly appreciate your patience and your honest comments, as we are always looking for ways to make the experience more comfortable for everyone. We hope you were still able to appreciate the beauty of the historic rooms and the special wardrobe exhibition despite the busy atmosphere.
Not at all worth it. Just a walk to the palace entrance with random history facts. Save yourself money and time by booking the official tour on the palace website
Dear DheerajReddy_K, I am so sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet your expectations. We always strive to provide a memorable and worthwhile visit for everyone, and it's clear we missed the mark this time. Thank you for sharing your honest feedback—it helps us look at ways we can improve our tours and better highlight the value we offer.
The majority of this experience is the palace tour. On the walk to the tour, you get some interesting information, but the highlight is the tour itself. The sound system on the walk to the palace isn’t great so I missed some information. The walk is very fast. They seem to be on a tight time schedule which doesn’t leave a lot of time for questions.
