Friendly , fun, tasty and interesting
A fun interactive and informative museum. Taking you from the Mayans and Aztecs to Spanish and onward Chocolate making demo and tasting too.

Not our thing
We found this museum a bit boring. But for real chocolate lovers, this might be a 'must', but we found the price quite high and the route unclear at the beginning.

Onze rondleiding volgt bewust een vaste eenrichtingsroute, zodat bezoekers de verschillende zalen in een logische volgorde kunnen ontdekken. We nemen uw opmerking over de bewegwijzering zeker mee. We begrijpen ook dat de beleving en de prijs voor iedere bezoeker anders worden ervaren. Ons museum richt zich vooral op de geschiedenis van cacao en chocolade, met historische objecten, interactieve elementen, een live demonstratie en chocoladedegustaties. Disappointing don’t bother
The museum was a big disappointment for our entire family. Jam packed, you explore three floors by scanning a QR code with supplied device. You learn about chocolate from early to modern day Bruges. Love history but the presentation was boring. Demonstration at end was very short.

We understand that even when the subject is interesting, the way the story is presented can make a big difference, and we regret that you found the experience boring. Our museum uses audioguides to guide visitors through the different floors and tell the story of chocolate from its origins to the present day. We also have several interactive games and elements throughout the museum, particularly aimed at making the experience more engaging for families. Regarding the crowds, the museum can indeed be a little busier than usual during the summer holidays, weekends and rainy days, when many visitors choose indoor activities. We’re sorry this affected your experience. The praline demonstration at the end is intentionally a short live demonstration, followed by a tasting, although we understand that you may have been expecting a more extensive presentation. Fun and informative
Fab experience, perfect for kids and lots to see and do. The chocolate at end was a real hit!! Only thing is that many of the interactive activities weren’t working properly which the kids were disappointed about.

Excellent tour.
A very interesting tour with a chance to see a demonstration and try the products at the end. Central located and easy to get to.

Very average, not to say disappointing.
Quite disappointed by this visit. There is an audio guide that ultimately tells quite little, just like the contents of the different rooms. How many truly original items are on display?? Positive points: the demonstration at the end and the activities for children. But in my opinion, for the price, skip to another museum. And I am generally quite lenient...

Great fun and very interesting
We did the chocolate workshop, which was great fun and we left loaded down with our own delicious chocolate. The museum was very interesting, telling the story of chocolate going from a religious drink in South America to the global food giant it is now and Belgium's part in it. Would definitely recommend.
