Tour del cioccolato di Bristol

I must give credit to Duncan, who was unbelievably at hand during our tour – which ultimately felt very much like a private one due to the group's small size on the occasion. He led us through the heart of Bristol, following a path that allowed him to share so much history. There were unexpected pieces of information, images, a few good chances for discussion, but most importantly a well-prepared guide who knows his stuff and went above and beyond for us. Along the tour there are treats to taste that accompany the story of the city's involvement in the field of chocolate, but that was not the only narrative the tour dealt with. We ended the tour feeling decidedly satisfied with every aspect of it, which I'm confident applies to all of Duncan's other tours. Once ours was over, he went so far as helping us plan our day-trip; that alone makes him a shining example for all tour guides!

I am a Bristol native, however, I learnt a lot from this tour, in a fun and innovative way. I found the tour was good value for money and the length of the tour was perfect with about the right amount of participants to allow everyone to ask questions and most importantly to be able to hear what the guide had to say. I would highly recommend this tour and I fully intend to book on more tours with this company.

A really enjoyable walking tour, Duncan was an excellent guide, sharing his extensive knowledge to condense the story of the origins of chocolate, its ingredients and how Bristol is connected, bringing both humour and some of the darker side into the narrative. Sweet treats at strategic points along the way which all had a relevance to key stories and locations. A great thing to do for locals and visitors to the city .

Great tour, Duncan was really knowledgeable. Interesting little chocolate treats throughout including raw sugar cane, cocoa nibs & cocoa butter. We both had a lovely morning. Approx 1hr 30mins total.

As well as a lot of information about the history of chocolate in Bristol, we got s lot of goodied to est Wonderful!

Greatly informative and entertaining walking tour. The guide shares relevant information about how Bristol and chocolate intertwine. And of course you get to sample chocolate and its ingredients.

Great tour around Bristol, with fascinating info of the history of choclate making. Old locations and details of employers who made the sweet treats. Goodie bags to help you get a feel of producing choclate from times past. Reasonable priced and great guide.

Absolutely lovely way to learn the history of Bristol. Duncan was lovely and really engaging. My kiddos aged 13 and 15 were kept entertained with the hands on tastings and perfectly timed out stops. They also an Air Raid tour that we added on for the afternoon after loving the chocolate tour in the morning. Definitely book this!
