Questa fermata extra può essere inclusa (a seconda degli orari e delle condizioni meteorologiche) Pitchfork Falls è una cascata di 2.000 piedi nel fiume Skagway, visibile dalla Klondike Highway tra Skagway, Alaska e il confine con la Columbia Britannica. Le cascate passano sotto un ponte ferroviario del White Pass e della Yukon Railway

Al campo Tutshi Sled Dog incontrerai un vero musher e la sua squadra di atleti cinofili! TLK dispone di un'area giochi recintata molto ampia per incontrare i loro Alaskan Huskies vincitori e i loro cuccioli, un'area educativa con posti a sedere e quindi un'area di sosta per coloro che intraprendono il trekking attraverso la tundra dello Yukon. TLK ha un piccolo negozio di articoli da regalo, snack da acquistare e un bagno. Adoriamo assolutamente questo campo e pensiamo che lo farai anche tu!
Mentre alcuni nel nostro gruppo stanno partecipando alla spedizione di mushing con la slitta trainata da cani, andrai al cartello Welcome to the Yukon appena sopra l'autostrada del Klondike. Questa è una divertente sosta fotografica con i membri della tribù delle Prime Nazioni che offrono prodotti autentici in vendita.

I booked this tour for my family and I. 6 of us had US passports and 1 had a Brazilian passport with a US and Canadian Visa. Upon arrival, we were told my brother in law from Brazil could not go because he did not have a paper Canadian visa. He had an electronic visa and the cruise we came in on was out of Vancourer Canada yet the tour company told us he could not go. Not only were we disappointed and frustrated since the website said nothing about this requirement...we requested a refund for my brother in law and the tour denied the request. What kind of company does that? As for the tour, the tour guide Trey was good and tried his best to make the trip good for the 6 of us that went. He did remind us several times that he gets paid very little and tips are how he makes his living. We did tip him and tipped him well. That said, we saw a bear and the scenery was amazing. The puppies were a bit of a disappointment. Many groups had come through already and the dogs had lots of treats and were tired so most slept in the dog house and did not come out. I suggest if you go...do one in the early morning so you get puppies that are active and want to play. Based on the poor response to the request for a credit back for my family member that did not get to go I would suggest booking a different puppy excursion than through Skagway Tours.
Great experience. In one tour we got to visit the suspension bridge, Yukon Pass, and play with adorable puppies. The tour was very informative and well-paced. Highly recommend!
Pam was excellent - funny, knowledgeable, and full of stories. Took us to extra spots for scenic pictures. Couldn’t have asked for more - thanks Pam!
We were told that the owner of the mushing camp/kennel was a previous Iditarod winner, so we were looking forward to an interesting presentation, or at least an opportunity to ask questions. The owner was not present during our visit, and there was really no information available on mushing. It was no different than a visit to a dog kennel. Although this part of the excursion was a big disappointment, we enjoyed everything else, particularly our very engaging tour guide Mariah.
Mariah was a great tour guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and gave warnings when a great photo opportunity was coming up, slowing down the coach if she could to make sure everyone was able to catch the memory.
This was a fantastic tour! We were not rushed and really got to explore and enjoy our time. Our tour guide, Trey, was the best! He told us historical facts and great stories! He even pointed out bears on the side of the road and took our picture with his phone and airdropped it to me when my phone was acting up! He’s the best! Highly recommended!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mariah on this excursion! We booked through Viator but would book direct with tour operator going forward - the communication directly from them was great. The scenery was spectacular, the puppies adorable and the pace perfect for our group of 8! Fun fact learned : "there's the right way, the wrong way, and the Skagway!"
This was a great way to see the area above Skagway and learn more about the history. Drake was fantastic -knowledgeable and funny. He kept us entertained the entire time. I will note the puppies were from the local humane society and not Alaskan sled dog huskies, but they were still adorable and we did get to see the sled dogs they were training. The suspension bridge was unexpectedly great too. I would recommend the trip!
It’s fun and educational. The best part is the puppy camps. It’s so much fun to feed and hug the puppies! The driver /guide is very friendly. Highly recommended.
