Itinerario
Tutti i tour enogastronomici iniziano nel North End. Il North End è il quartiere più antico di Boston, fondato nel 1630. Oggi questa zona è affettuosamente conosciuta come Little Italy e ospita alcuni dei migliori ristoranti, pizzerie e panetterie della città. Da qui, cammina fino allo storico Long Wharf per fare un panoramico giro in traghetto attraverso il porto di Boston!
Il Charlestown Navy Yard ospita la USS Constitution, l'unico "sito galleggiante" sul Freedom Trail di Boston. Ascolta la storia di come questa famosa nave da guerra si è guadagnata il soprannome di "Old Ironsides".
Bunker Hill è il luogo della prima grande battaglia della Rivoluzione americana. Il dottor Joseph Warren è morto negli istanti calanti di questa storica battaglia. Ascolta la storia dietro quel famoso comando militare - "Non sparare finché non vedi il bianco dei loro occhi!"

L'Old State House è il più antico edificio pubblico in piedi negli Stati Uniti orientali. Il cerchio di ciottoli di fronte a questo punto di riferimento storico commemora il primo spargimento di sangue della Rivoluzione americana: il massacro di Boston.
Dopo il viaggio di ritorno in traghetto da Charlestown, esplora l'area di Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. Faneuil Hall (conosciuta anche come la "Culla della Libertà") è sempre stata il mercato centrale di Boston, e lo è ancora oggi. Big Al is an absolutely incredible guide. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. Great food and drinks. This has been one of our favorite tours.
Our guide Big Al was great. I wasn’t sure how it would go since they were only three of us in the group. But we all had a great time. The two taverns that we ate at were wonderful. I do wish there was a little more historic information question, but I think what Big Al covered was great. I really enjoyed going to Charlestown, I have never been there before. I would highly recommend this tour to family and friends.
Big Al was our host and the tour was just for our family of three. We had laughs, American revolution stories and history and visits to two brilliant and oldest of Bostons Inns. 3 and a half hours well spent and good value.
Only 2 pubs on the tour. Would have liked more pubs.
I am now a history nerd! It came to life today as a group of six strangers from differnt cities all joined Big Al for the day- a 3-hr walk-about became 6 All fueled by amazing pace and chat about Paul Revere and the Sons of Liberty became a real life dive into what it might have been to live the real seeds of revolution. The taverns chosen were purposeful. And fun! The walk was great- a clear coverage of Boston proper! But that no one left promptly at the last stop, spoke volumes. We will always remember this day when a 3-hr tour became a day full of everything Boston!
A friend and I (her from US, me from UK) decided to do this as a great way to discover some of Boston during our girls trip and we had a blast! We were joined by 3 others so we were a perfect size group. Our guide, Al - a true Bostonian - kept us entertained for the entire tour with history and anecdotes, including two excellent stops at pubs for drinks and appetisers. Even the rain didn't dampen our spirits! We were all getting on so well we stayed at our last stop for an additional two hours after the tour finished, Al included! Highly recommend if want an overview of some of Bostons most famous history with the added bonus of drinks too.
Our tour guide was phenomenal! So knowledgeable and made things so much fun. Very aware of us and accommodating (even with unexpected cold temps). Great food recommendations too! Taverns we went to were perfect!

Exceptional food, beer and guide. Would highly recommend this experience. Great history lessons, with a solid amount of comedy mixed in. Remember to wear good walking shoes.
