Nel cuore della Bosnia ed Erzegovina ci sono due città uniche e storiche, con laghi e macchie naturali non coltivabili. La città di Travnik è un'antica città medievale, conosciuta per la sua splendida Fortezza della Città Vecchia e luogo unico per il piatto tradizionale bosniaco Cevapi. Jajce, tradizionalmente conosciuta come King's Town, è il posto con importanza storica, dalle prime radici ai giorni nostri. Nel Medioevo l'area di Travnik era conosciuta come la provincia di župa Lašva del regno bosniaco medievale. L'area è menzionata per la prima volta da Bela IV d'Ungheria nel 1244. Travnik stesso era una delle numerose città fortificate della regione, con la sua fortezza Kaštel che è diventata il centro storico di oggi. La città stessa viene menzionata per la prima volta dagli Ottomani durante la conquista della vicina Jajce.
È difficile non notare la Sarena Dzamija (Moschea multicolore), costruita nel 1757. Con i suoi colori vivaci, i suoi dettagli artistici unici e intricati sulle pareti esterne e il suo legno intagliato, si dice che sia tra le più belle moschee del mondo. Balcani - e l'unico nel paese in cui le persone credono conserva i capelli del profeta. Ha strani motivi floreali dipinti all'esterno, ed è una delle uniche due moschee in Bosnia ed Erzegovina in cui la sala di preghiera è posizionata al primo piano, con il piano terra utilizzato per condurre gli affari.
Il Vecchio Forte è uno degli edifici fortificati medievali più belli e meglio conservati in Bosnia, su cui i periodi storici successivi hanno lasciato le loro caratteristiche distintive. In fonti di storiografia finora note, non vi è alcuna registrazione dell'anno e della durata della costruzione o del costruttore. Gli storici concordano sul fatto che il castello sia stato costruito nella seconda metà del XIV o nella prima metà del XV secolo. A titolo di costruzione e altre indicazioni si presume che il costruttore originale fosse il re Tvrtko II Kotromanić, ma il re Stjepan Dabiša è anche indicato come possibile costruttore.
La fortezza di Jajce si trova sopra la città ad un'altitudine di 470 m. Si trova all'interno del complesso della città medievale che risale al 13 ° secolo. La fortezza, costruita nel corso di diversi secoli, circonda i resti architettonici di un castello del 15 ° secolo. Situato nel lato sud-occidentale della fortezza è un portale con lo stemma reale. Situato a pochi chilometri da Jajce sono i grandi e piccoli laghi Pliva. Questi laghi offrono molte opportunità ricreative: pesca, kayak, canoa, nuoto, pallavolo, bicicletta e passeggiate. Ci sono anche barbecue pubblici lungo il lago per i picnic.
I mulini ad acqua dei Laghi di Pliva non sono più utilizzati per la macina attuale, ma attirano turisti lungo il fiume dalla gigantesca cascata in città. Quello è certamente impressionante con il suo drop da 65 piedi. Ma i piccoli mulini a vento scandole sembrano essere la dimora di alcuni troll locali, con i loro draghi sollevati all'indietro.

Muki was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable of the area and excellent driver. We had a great time and saw parts of this beautiful country.
We did the tour with Vedo who was an excellent and friendly guide who told us about his personal experience in the war living in Sarajevo. The places are very beautiful and with Vedo we enjoyed it much more!!

My parents originally come from Bosnia, so I already had a lot of knowledge. But since I had some friends with me from home, it seemed obvious with a guided tour. It was certainly not something we regretted, from here the warmest recommendations must sound, the guide was super nice and knew a lot about what he was talking about. This trip contained what we expected and much more. Subsequently, the guide was also very helpful and gave us his contact details, even outside of his working hours he was helpful with recommendations for places to eat, attractions etc. If you could give more than 5 stars, they would have!

We felt very privileged to have Bakir as our guide. Bakir has a great sense of humour, and is extremely patient with our endless “interrogations”! As we had already spent a week in Bosnia by the time we took the tour, our curiosity at that stage has morphed from history to current affairs and pop culture. The insights Bakir generously shared, coupled with his brutally honest take on everything that is happening, made the tour unusually enriching and enjoyable. Hours flew by for us, and I hope we didn’t bore him. ;) Oh he is a great driver too! Special thanks to Mak as well who helped arrange the trip at short notice.
We spent a wonderful and interesting day with our tour guide Ken. We learned a lot about the history of Bosnia and the sights we visited. We had always and everywhere enough time for photos and further questions. Ken is a likeable young man who has often inquired about our needs. We can only recommend the tour!!
The tour was wonderful! Our tour guide Bakir was extremely knowledgeable, funny and kind. We enjoyed our time a lot experiencing some of the amazing nature and historical sites of Bosnia.
We had a great afternoon with our guide Said, who immediately welcomed us in a friendly atmosphere. We were able to visit the beautiful old town of Barcarsija with its Ottoman architectural style, as well as the bridge of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand in 1914. We were also able to discover the different places of worship, mosque, church is synagogue. As well as craft streets where trades are passed from father to son. Each place was steeped in history and our guide took us on a journey through the centuries and engaged us through his interactive presentation. I recommend you 100% this agency without hesitation. We came away super happy to have been able to discover so much about this beautiful city that is Sarajevo.
This was a great experience in our trip to Bosnia. Mak, our guide was excellent at giving us information about the sites and many interesting details about Bosnia in general. He was very patient since my husband and I like to take many pictures. Mak also made several stops to have a cold drink and refresh ourselves from a really warm day. Our pick up was right on time and the vehicle we rode was impecable. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in history and want to visit beautiful and photogenic sites outside Sarajevo.
