Fuga dal Mar Nero da Bucarest: Costanza & Mamaia

My friend and I loved this tour! It was four of us plus our guide, who both drove and educated us about landmarks as we went along. There was a rest stop both to and from the sea, plus a long lunch break. We enjoyed touring Constanta, and then went to Mamaia for a long swim. This was one of our favorite days in Romania, and our guide was excellent!

This was the worst excursion I have ever done! We drove 3 hours to reach Constanta to only be there for 1 & 1/2 hours, which is completely unfortunate because the area I did see was stunning. The tour guide gave very little information regarding history of the area. The other 3 hours were spent at Mamaia, where the beach and surrounding area were filthy dirty! The beach chairs that you need to pay for were falling apart and the cushions had mildew on them. There is no public bathroom to use. The tour was supposed to be a 12 hour day and ours went from 8am to 6:30pm, clearly not a 12 hour activity. If you choose this excursion, you are paying a lot of money for nothing!

This was a nice getaway to The Black Sea from Bucharest. The boardwalk plaza at Constanta is a must. Our driver was great and all went well with meeting times and adherence to schedule. While the time at Mamaia Beach was nice, I would recommend that passengers be advised in advance to pack sandals or other waterproof footwear for Mamaia Beach. The beach is basically comprised of crushed seashells which makes it hard to walk barefoot. In all, I was very pleased with the experience and driver guide. Thanks, John Arms

Narcis our tour guide is very professional and he took care of us as a group very well. He was knowledgeable and he was very punctual . He timed everything very well . Our tour guide as informative, fun, and so relaxing.

A night before this trip, I recieved an email from Gray Line Romania, "Unfortunately, due to some operational reason for tomorrow, we can't organize the Day-Trip to Black Sea" And I repled that I wanted to cancel and recieve refund from you. Had a great experience especially that in MAMAIA Beach; would recommend to Rearrangement the schedule to spend more time there, big thanks to our guide Eugene was amazing and very helpful.

We had an awesome experience with the trip to the black see. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgable and provided us with a lot of information about the history of the area, buildings, etc. We went after the summer vacation season, so the resort on the Black Sea was busy renovating after the summer holiday, but this gave us extra time to experience the history in the natural history museum, and spend more time exploring the promenade of Constanta, and the churches, and other buildings.

We were collected by our guide Andre and with only one other person on the tour, my friend and I felt like we were on a private tour. After a long drive we arrived at Constanta which was very empty. We took in a history museum and a Roman mosaic before heading to a mosque and an Orthodox Church. By now it was starting to rain so Andre said he would drive us to the casino and let us decide if we wished to get out and take photos which we did. He then drove to Mamaia which should have been our afternoon at the beach but the rain was torrential and there was thunder and lightening so he drove us along to see the resort and then we had lunch at a local restaurant. Food was great and we all ate together. Was a real shame we didn’t get to enjoy the afternoon on the beach but Andre was great. Very, very knowledgeable about his country and the tour and was also very funny and approachable.
