The museum is impressive and an absolute must, not only because of the interesting exhibitions, but because of the architectural highlights. Unfortunately, we booked and paid for the tickets through Viator, a Tripadvisor company. Already a month in advance. Not even 24 hours before the visit, Tripadvisor / Viator informed us that the tickets we had purchased a month ago were no longer available and that we would have to choose a different timeslot. Once we had selected it, it was already taken again. The customer service phone number is in India. The roaming costs are therefore borne by the customer. We do not understand how it is possible that the tickets we paid for to Tripadvisor / Viator a month ago were simply given away to someone else. We chose Tripadvisor / Viator because we wanted as little administrative effort as possible. For that, we ultimately paid nearly twice as much. It would have been much easier and cheaper if we had bought the tickets directly through the museum's official website. The price-performance ratio via Viator / Tripadvisor is poor. Booked directly through the museum, it is certainly very good.
The museum is amazing. Reason for 2 star rating is because entry fee for 2 adults is €36 and for 2 seniors (which we are) is only €18. This includes the scanning of QR code. We paid $69.31 or €60.43. This charge is outrageous.
There is so much to explore inside and out. The light and materials are brilliant, and we loved the exhibits. We spent five hours here, but you really need a full day to soak it all in without rushing. The customer service was incredible they even surprised us with a complimentary gelato tasting! Also, our tickets arrived perfectly just one day before our visit. It’s easily one of the most beautiful museums in Europe and a must do if you’re in Bilbao, honestly so cool!
A must visit in Bilbao! The Guggenheim Museum is an architectural masterpiece, and the stunning titanium exterior alone is worth the trip. I highly recommend booking in advance. I received my tickets promptly on both WhatsApp and email, along with clear instructions before my visit. The customer service was excellent, and the digital audio guide added great value to the experience. Inside, the exhibitions were interesting, while the building itself remained the highlight. The café is also a nice spot for a break with quality refreshments. As a lovely bonus, I was offered a complimentary gelato ice cream tasting. If you’re visiting the city, just go for it you won’t regret it.
